Reed Cemetery

This is located on the PRIVATE FARM of Anton Rejcek off of County Line Road and Dry Branch Road between West and Gholson.  In recent years vandals have wreaked havoc on this cemetery and only a few stones remain.  The Rejcek’s provided what information they had and we took photographs of the area.  There are several stones that appear to be where burials were, but no names are indicated on these, they could be slaves. It is also possible that other family members are buried here as the property owners recall there being several more stones. It has been reported as the Old Green Cemetery, but this is not believed to be accurate, as Prairie Grove Cemetery (just up FM 933) is formerly Old Gruene Cemetery. Members of the family buried here had land of both the McLennan and Hill County sides of this farm.  The old Sulak Cotton Gin was just down the street, but no known members of the Sulak family are buried on this farm.
