![]() | Attached is a picture taken sometime in the 1940's in a chuch in
McLennan County. It shows the service men from that area at a special
service. My Uncle Cullen Peterson is one of those pictures but I can't
find him. Someone in Waco, may remember this event and it may be of
value to you and your project.

From external evidence (the age of pictures developed
about the same time) this is from about 1910. The back is labeled "Mary & baby Victoria. Worked for Mrs. [Victoria Fauth] Bongard", Bellmead, TX. I would love to know if anyone can identify the people in it--obviously one person is not named. |

Last name is Pierson( I'm 98% sure of the spelling) He
was born in Texas don't know where. He lived in Waco at least during
WWII. Was born somewhere from 1921-24.
Don't know if he is still living.
He has a brother and a sister.
He is/was very tall (possibly 6'6") and slim, grey
eyes and reddish blonde or light brown hair.
He served in the Navy during WWII as a radioman and
possibly a petty officer.
He spent a lot of time in the San Francicso Bay Area in 1943-44 so I
thought maybe his ship was home based there but research into
the docked ships at the time he was known to be there for sure show
that he couldn't have been on any of them. Possible he changed ships I
guess. |
