Photo of Clyde Simshoto is of Clyde Sims and wife "Johnnie".
Clyde Sims parents were J.B. Sims and Lucy Alvis.
Clyde's dates are b.Nov.13, 1901, d.3-13-1954.
He is buried in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.
His death certificate is signed by wife "Johnnie".
As per a marriage license Clyde Sims married a Josephine Sims ... same last names. Even though this is unusual, it does happen occasionally.
"Johnnie" remarried after death of Clyde. Who, where, and when, did she remarry?
I have the name Thomas R. Williams for her 2nd husband, and that they both are buried in Laural Land Cemetery in Dallas along with other Sims Family members.
Can anyone help me identify who Johnnie / Josephine was? Who were her family?

If anyone can assist with this identification please contact Deb at this email address:

His name is William Layatt "BILLY" Brock born in China Spring and died in China Spring.

I am trying to figure out about when the picture was taken.  Can you post it on the web page, and see if anyone can help me figure out when this photo was taken

Thanks in Advance

Attached is a picture taken sometime in the 1940's in a chuch in McLennan County.  It shows the service men from that area at a special service.  My Uncle Cullen Peterson is one of those pictures but I can't find him.   Someone in Waco, may remember this event and it may be of value to you and your project.

From external evidence (the age of pictures developed about the same time)
this is from about 1910.  The back is labeled "Mary & baby Victoria. Worked
for Mrs. [Victoria Fauth] Bongard", Bellmead, TX.  I would love to know if
anyone can identify the people in it--obviously one person is not named.

The edge says "3 generations Aunt Marie raised. She was 81 Feb. 25 last.
This was taken at Waco, Texas Wed. Aug. 13, 1913".
Judy Koehl
Last name is Pierson( I'm 98% sure of the spelling) He was born in Texas don't know where. He lived in Waco at least during WWII. Was born somewhere from 1921-24.
Don't know if he is still living.
He has a brother and a sister.
He is/was very tall (possibly 6'6") and slim, grey eyes and reddish blonde or light brown hair.

He served in the Navy during WWII as a radioman and possibly a petty officer.
He spent a lot of time in the San Francicso Bay Area in 1943-44 so I thought maybe his ship was home based there but research into the docked ships at the time he was known to be there for sure show that he couldn't have been on any of them. Possible he changed ships I guess.
