Sat., May 26 (4-6): Remains of Mrs. E. F. Bolding were shipped to Hubbard City today. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Morse Thursday.

Sat., May 26 (4-6): Ruth 0la, age 3 months, child of Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Jarreau, died today. Funeral today; burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., May 28 (7-1): Johnnie Dillon, age 11, died yesterday. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dillon. Funeral tomorrow. Burial at Burlington, Texas

Mon., May 28 (8-4): Mrs. Karolina Scheidwelder, 64, died yesterday at 724 S. 6th. To Waco in 1891. Mother of Mrs. J. A. Lempke and Miss L. E. Scheidwelder and Robert also. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., May 28 (8-4): Willie Colbert, age 9, died yesterday at 720 South 3rd, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Colbert. Funeral today; burial at Oakwood cemetery, with Rev. J. C. F. Koger officiating.

Tue., May 29 (2-4): Jack Tennant of St. Louis died today by suicide. A drummer for the Battle Ax Shoe Co. Known in Waco.

Tue., May 29 (4-6): Little child of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew B. Bonner, age 8 months, died today at 324 McKeen. Burial tomorrow at Oakwood cemetery.

Wed., May 30 (2-1): George Romans died today. Was shot by M. L. Milam. Age 27. Died at the home of his father.

Thu., May 31 (2-6): Mrs. S. B. Humphreys died today at the family residence, 903 Speight. Would have been age 75 on July 5th. Came to Waco Feb. 8, 1867 with husband S. B. Humphreys, from Alabama . Eldest sister of Dr. R. C. Burle­son. Nee Isabella Burleson, born July 5, 1831, Morgan Co., Alabama . Married S. B. Humphreys Jan. 1, 1861. One daughter, Mrs. Emma Humphreys, survives. Funeral tomorrow. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sat., June 2 (2-1) : John B. Jones, 44, died yesterday. Had a saloon on Elm St.. Leaves wife and one child. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., June 7: Twenty acres were recently purchased for Oakwood Cemetery, south of the cemetery. Lots 25 x 25 feet, $25 each.

Sun., June 10 (7-4): Wife of E. H. Mitchner of Bosqueville died yesterday, age 25. Funeral Sunday at Bosqueville.

Wed., June 13 (2-4): Will Parks, horseman, was killed today at 8th & Franklin , by O. N. Lillard, with a 41 Colts. Remains to J. C. Leeds Undertakers.

Wed., June 13 (8-3): Mrs. Will Russell, 19, died yesterday. Funeral today from the residence. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Fri., June 15 (4-6): Jas. B. Richards of Madison, Georgia , died today. Husband of Miss Irene Culbertson, formerly of Waco . Married in Waco about a year ago.

Fri., June 15 (8-4): D. E. Gossett of Mart died in an accident today at Riesel. Age about 35.

Mon., June 18 (2-1): Jeff Walker, colored, age 78, died Saturday and was buried yesterday; funeral from New Hope Baptist church, in East Waco cemetery.

Mon., June 18 (5-5): Thomas Hugh Sheppard, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simeon C. Sheppard, died today. Funeral today from the residence at 613 Herring Ave.

Mon., June 18 (5-5): H. P. Mitscher, 71, died today at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Schroeder, 1010 North 5th. Funeral today at Perry, where he lived for 25 years. Four children: Henry, Mrs. A. Schroeder, Mrs. August Kuehl and Will Mitscher.

Tue., June 19 (8-3): Mr. H. M. Dillansberg died yesterday, and was buried in First Street cemetery.

Tue., June 19 (8-3): Mr. W. M. T. Stewart died yesterday in East Waco. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., June 21 (5-3): Francis Lafayette Carroll, philanthropist, died at his home, 705 Speight, yesterday. Born in Alabama , May 25, 1831. To Louisiana . Dec. 23, 1853, married to Miss Sarah Long. Enrolled in 2nd Louisiana Cavalry, 1861. To Beaumont in 1873. To Waco 1882. President of Noma Lumber Mill. Wife and nine children: Geo. W., Edgar, Monro, William, Mrs. J. F. Keith, Mrs. Minnie King. Funeral tomorrow.

Thu., June 21 (8-3): Hobert Tadlock of Crawford died today, age 45. Funeral today.

Fri., June 22 (8-4): Mrs. Mary B. Copeland died at the residence of her son, M. C. Copeland, yesterday. Born Williamson Co., Tenn., Dec. 7, 1841. Married to Samuel Copeland July 25, 1860. To Texas 1877. Mother of eight children, all surviving. Funeral today from the residence at 1517 Cumberland. Ship the remains to Cleburne tomorrow, for burial.

Fri., June 22 (8-6): Remains of Abe Blum were found at Galveston yesterday.

Sat., June 23 (2-7): Mrs. John Cunningham died at the home of her brother, Jim Stewart, and was buried in Crawford cemetery with her parents.

Sun., June 24 (2-1): J. D. Hallsford, 18, died Friday at the home of parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Hallsford, 1116 Pecan. Was buried yesterday at Concord.

Tue., June 26 (2-7): Mrs. Hattie L. Flowers, 52, died yesterday at Rienz in Hill county, leaving husband H. L. and six children. Sister of Mrs. Sidney Dupree and Mrs. A. J. Stewart of Waco. Burial at Bell Springs cemetery.

Thu., June 28: Funeral of Rudolph Archenhold will be tomorrow from the resi­dence at 408 North 16th, Dr. Suhler officiating. Burial in Hebrew Rest.

Sun., July 1 (8-4): Remains of Frank H. Wells were shipped to Gatesville, his old home. He died at the home of Marcus D. Smith, 2029 Sanger Thursday. He leaves a wife, two children, and an aged mother. Mr. Barr is a nephew.

Sun., July 1 (8-3): Jewell Irene, age 8 months, child of Moody Griffin, died yesterday. Funeral from the residence Sunday, 1903 River Street. Burial at the First Street cemetery.

Mon., July 2 (2-1): Leo Miller, age 17, died yesterday at the residence of his brother-in-law, Tony Christenson, 1828 Franklin, of typhoid. A sister is in Europe. No other near relatives. Funeral today from the residence. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Wed., July 4 (8-6): Kathleen Guthrie, age 2, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murt Guthrie, died today on South 5th. Remains shipped to Belton for burial there.

Wed., July 4 (8-4): Card of Thanks: for a brother, Leo Miller, by Al Miller and Tony Christenson.

Fri., July 6 (8-6): Joe Bownan, negro, was shot by John Gant, negro, near the Steiner farm below Downsville, on Wednesday. Died yesterday.

Mon., July 9 (8-4): Funeral of Jefferson Davis Barry, who died yesterday, was yesterday from the residence at 325 North 8th. Burial at Oakwood cemetery, by Rev. L. W. Doolan.

Thu., July 12 (4-4): S. J. Franklin, formerly of Waco, drowned near Houston. Son-in-law of C. W. White. Married Miss Camille White some two years ago. Was in real estate.

Mon., July 16 (2-5): Infant, aged 20 days, of Thos. J. Reece, died at their home, 722 Earle, today. Burial at South Bosque.

Mon., July 16 (2-5): Funeral of Mrs. M. J. Smitherman, who died Saturday, was at the home, 1308 Ross, Sunday, with Rev. Maddox. Age 85. To Bruceville for burial.

Mon., July 16 (5-3): Dr. O'Brien, formerly of Waco, died yesterday at Fort Worth. Veteran of the Mexican War. Age 80. Partner with Dr. Sayers of Waco.

Thu., July 19 (2-5): Mrs. R. S. Triplett died Tuesday at St. Louis. Widow of the late R. S. Triplett who died in Waco soon after Christmas. Kentucky is her home.

Fri., July 20 (2-2): Mrs. Malinda Carson, 88, of near Robinson, died today. Funeral tomorrow at Robinsonville Presbyterian church. An old settler.

Mon., July 23 (2-4): Will Davis, brother to Tax Collector John Davis, was killed at Red Rock, Arizona.

Tue., July 24 (5-4): W. L. Johnson, M.K. & T. conductor known in Waco, died yesterday at Granger. Lived at San Antonio.

Tue., July 24 (8-6): Will Davis died near Red Rock, Arizona, recently. The remains were shipped to Waco.

Thu., July 26 (2-6): Remains of Will Davis are to arrive in Waco today. Funeral from 3rd & Cleveland today. He fell from a train.

Thu., July 26 (2-1): Mrs. Carrie Adams, wife of T. E. Adams, died at her home at 310 North 11th, aged 57. Leaves several children. Funeral from the resi­dence tomorrow, with Rev. G. Lyle. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., July 26 (8-3): Child, aged 20 months, of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Davis, died yesterday, scalded in a tub of hot water. Funeral today from the residence of L. A. Reece, 23rd & Gorman. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sat., July 28 (8-3): J. L. Morrow of Axtell, a farmer, died last night of small pox. Funeral today. Burial at Axtell cemetery. Leave wife and children.

Tue., July 31 (2-1): Funeral for Mrs. George Hoffman, who died at the Bolton farm yesterday, by Rev. Lockhart. Burial at Bosqueville.

Mon., July 31 (5-3): Harry A. Woods, cashier for the M. K. & T. Ry., died today. Funeral tomorrow from the residence, 114 South 16th. Born in Philadelphia, Apr. 12, 1846, and has a brother there.

Thu., Aug. 2 (2-6): Mrs. Jennie Harris, 34, died yesterday at 723 North 5th. Funeral today from the residence, and burial at Hebrew Rest cemetery.

Fri., Aug. 3 (2-4): J. W. McClain of Moody died today of typhoid, age 65. In McLennan county since 1871. To Texas from Adair Co., Kentucky, to Old Perry. Surviving children: Mrs. H. C. Connally, Mrs. G. H. Thomas, Miss Edna, R. V. and Eugene McClain. Burial at Moody.

Sat., Aug. 4 (2-1): Burnice, age 8 months, child of J. T. McInnis, died near Stanford Chapel yesterday. To be buried there today.

Sat., Aug. 4 (2-10: Edward, age 6, child of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Truelove on Corsicana road, died yesterday of diphtheria. Burial at Concord cemetery.

Sun., Aug. 5 (2-5): W. D. Jackson, a photographer, died today at the family residence in South Waco, age 70. Born North Carolina. To Cameron, Texas, before the war. Served in C.S.A. To Waco after the war. Funeral pending.

Tue., Aug. 7 (5-5): Mrs. Caroline McMillan Durham died last midnight at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Willie D. House, 1327 South 7th. Funeral today from the residence, by Rev. C. T. Caldwell and Rev. Peyton. Widow of Dr. Matthews Simon Durham. Family lived in Washington county.

Tue., Aug. 7 (5-3): W. W. Fraser of Liberty county, Georgia, died at Hinesville, Georgia, recently. Married a sister of W. C. Lawson of Waco, and was known here. Remains to Bonaventure Cemetery at Savannah.

Thu., Aug. 9 (2-5): John F. Clayton, 35, died at the home of Mrs. H. Ingram yesterday of typhoid. Organizer for the Modern Woodmen of America. Remains sent to Pittsburg, Kansas.

Thu., Aug. 9 (2-5): S. E. Everett, 16, died at the family house in the Kirk­patrick Addition yesterday, of typhoid. Worked for Tom Padgitt. Burial at the Greenwood cemetery.

Thu., Aug. 9 (5-3): Mrs. Caroline McMillan Durham, mother of Mrs. Willie D. House, died at midnight August 6. Born Hines Co., Miss., about 1831. At age 4, with the S. F. Austin colonists, third contract. Married to Peter U. Pridham. After he died, she married Dr. Matthew Simeon Durham of Washington in 1855. Lived at Brenham 35 years. In 1891, to Waco and to the home of her daughter.

Fri., Aug. 10 (8-6): Harry F. McFarland died in St. Louis. Known in Waco. Wife and son. Age about 48.

Sat., Aug. 11 (2-6): George R. Reno, age 4, died yesterday. Funeral today from the residence, 709 South 10th. Burial at Greenwood cemetery. Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Reno. From Temple recently.

Tue., Aug. 14 (4-5): Mrs. John Irwin, negro, died yesterday, stabbed by her husband. Two children. Age about 21. Husband is 27.

Mon., Aug. 20 (2-4): William, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Hodge, 1805 Herring, died yesterday. Funeral was yesterday. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Aug. 20 (8-4): Charley Hackney, negro, died at Chalk Bluff last night, age about 20, when shot by Faris Mack.

Sat., Aug. 25 (8-4): Mrs. Emma Carson, 30, died yesterday at her residence, 608 North 13th. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Married last Dec.

Mon., Aug. 27 (8-4): Dorden Denton, age 11 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Denton, died yesterday at their residence, 803 North 15th, of bronchitis. The remains were shipped to West for burial.

Mon., Aug. 27 (8-4): Mr. B. Kleypus, 64, of just south of Waco, was buried today from the Church of the Assumption. Old resident of the county. Large fam­ily was left.

Mon., Sept. 3 (8-3): Aunt Jennie Humphries, negress, died at McGregor the lat­ter part of last week. Resident of Waco 50 years. Was visiting a brother.

Thu., Sept. 6 (2-3): Mr. O. Darwin died today at his home at 14th & Flint, age about 76. In the county since 1873. Was superintendent of the County Farm at one time. Funeral tomorrow from the residence, by Rev. Jerome Duncan, at Fifth Street Methodist church.

Thu., Sept. 6 (5-3): Luther Honea, 14, died yesterday by accident in a pistol duel between Mark Firnberg and Joe Mars. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Honea on Franklin street.

Fri., Sept. 7 (2-1): E. J. Roller of Los Angeles, formerly of Waco, suicided recently. Left Waco 16 or 17 years ago. Age about 40. Had been in ill health.

Fri., Sept. 7 (6-2): Stark Stasaski, age 5 months, died yesterday in East Waco at 606 Pecan. Remains were shipped to Bremond.

Mon., Sept. 10 (2-1): Funeral of Matthias Block tomorrow from Fall & Puckett, with Eureka Lodge 198 I.O.B.B.

Mon., Sept. 10 (2-2): F. B. Manchester, brother of Mrs. S. L. Werden, died Saturday in New York. Formerly of Waco.

Mon., Sept. 10 (2-3): Mrs. F. R. Philatowski, formerly of Waco, died today at Fort Worth. Remains shipped to Waco for burial at Hebrew Rest cemetery.

Mon., Sept. 10 (5-3): Mat Block, meat market man, 12th & Morrow, was murdered yesterday. Was found dead today. Probably killed by robbers. Resided in Waco many years. Age about 55. Full name was Matthias. Had a brother in New Orleans and relatives in San Antonio.

Mon., Sept. 10 (5-5): Funeral yesterday for Henry Hollifield from the residence of his brother, Will Hollifield, 1412 North 6th. Linotype operator for the Times-Herald.

Tue., Sept. 11 (4-6): Funeral today for Mr. Block, from Fall & Puckett. His relatives arrived.

Wed., Sept. 12 (1-4): Jesse Jones, alias Washington, a negro, has confessed to the murder of his employer, Matt Block. He implicated W. G. Huggins and Dave Berry, white men. (They were later released).

Thu., Sept. 13 (2-4): Mrs. E. J. Winter died at her home, 13th & Columbus, today. Funeral today; burial at Oakwood cemetery. Lived in Waco 25 years. Their children were present, except Lt. John Winter of Fort Meade, South Dakota.

Fri., Sept. 14 (2-1): Funeral of C. C. Farr, who died yesterday, was at Clay Street Baptist church today.

Sat., Sept. 15 (101): Mr. A. Bloch died at the home of his brother-in-law, Max Landman, last midnight, age 56. Citizen of Waco 36 years. Member of Knights of Pythias. Funeral from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Landman, 12th & Washington, tomorrow. Son Joe is in St. Louis. Rabbi Friedlander officiating.

Mon., Sept. 17 (2-7): Mrs. P. Lyons, known in Waco, died in New York City today. Eighteen months ago she went to New York to live with her sons, William and Leopold. Was age 82. Burial at New York City.

Mon., Sept. 17 (2-5): Funeral of A. Bloch was today. Burial at Hebrew Rest cemetery with Cowan Lodge of Knights of Pythias.

Wed., Sept. 19 (1-1): Mrs. W. R. Carroll, 33, died at her home, 1801 Wood. She leaves husband and two children. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Greenwood cemetery.

Thu., Sept. 20 (1-1): Berry Oliver, son-in-law of Judge and Mrs. J. C. Walker, died today at Louisville, Ky. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Oliver. Age about 28. Married Agnes Walker of Waco, Remains will perhaps be shipped to Waco.

Thu., Sept. 20 (4-6): W. A. McLemore, formerly of Waco, died yesterday in Dal­las. Born in Alabama, 1834. Funeral at Dallas.

Fri., Sept. 21 (2-4): Remains of Berry Oliver are to arrive Sunday on the Cot-ton Belt Ry., with wife.

Sun., Sept. 23 (2-6): Joe W. Linkenhoger, 66, died yesterday midnight. Leaves wife and three children. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., Sept, 23 (4-5): W. T. Holcomb died yesterday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. H. S. Lockwood, 1624 South 5th. Born Rankin Co., Miss., Feb. 17, 1836. To Texas in 1861, and resided in Waco 20 years. C.S.A., Company C, 28th Texas Dism. Cavalry. Wife and four children. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Mar. 24 (8-4): Remains of Berry Oliver arrived yesterday, to the residence of Judge J. C. Walker. Wife Agnes and sister Miss Nell Oliver. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Tue., Sept. 25 (5-3): Jesse Jone Washington, negro, was found guilty of murder of Matt Block, on the 24th.

Wed., Sept. 26 (4-4): Mrs. Edward S. Klein of Nogales, Arizona, died yesterday. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Beriowitz of Waco. Remains were shipped to Waco.

Thu., Oct. 4 (4-7): Sidney Logan died yesterday in a gin accident at Harrison. In Waco about a year, lived with J. L. Ratcliff of East Waco. Fall & Puckett shipped the remains to Corsicana.

Fri., Oct. 5 (8-4): Capt. J. Adone of Calvert died last night. Born in France.

Mon., Oct. 8 (2-2): C. E. Hardy of North 12th street died today. Funeral pend­ing.

Mon., Oct. 8 (2-4): Miss Beulah Edwards, 17, died at her home, 1623 South 3rd today. Only child of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Edwards. Funeral tomorrow, by Rev. Jerome Duncan. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Wed., Oct. 10 (2-5): Malcolm M. Early, 28, died today of typhoid, at the residence of his father, Eugene Early. Funeral tomorrow. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. His wife died about a year ago.

Fri., Oct. 12 (4-6): L. C. Packard died in St. Louis Tuesday. The remains were shipped to Waco for burial at Whitney. Left wife and child. Well known in Waco.

Mon., Oct. 15 (2-4): Mrs. Lizzie Hooten, wife of Samuel Hooten, died at their home, 304 South 3rd, yesterday, age 25. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood.

Mon., Oct. 22 (1-3): Stephen McClellan of Elm Mott, a former deputy sheriff, died today in a railroad accident at 4th & Mary. Remains sent to Elm Mott.

Thu., Oct. 25 (8-6): Mrs. Virginia Ariana Taylor died today at her residence at South 4th & Jones. Born in Alabama, 1833, widow of Col. William A. Taylor who died in 1901. Surviving children: Mrs. A. L. Brown, J. R. Downs, Miss Minnie, and Gus of Waco; and Mrs. Sam Webb of Albany. Funeral tomorrow by Rev. E. A. Temple. Age 72. Sister, Mrs. Dionitia Fort. Funeral at Taylor residence. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., Oct. 28 (5-4): Funeral of Miss Mary Irwin from the Bosqueville M. E. church Saturday. Daughter of J. R. Irwin, age 15.

Mon., Oct. 29 (4-6): William Boyle Barnett, son of J. W. Barnett, died today. Funeral at the residence, 1613 Washington tomorrow. Burial at Oakwood ceme­tery. Age 16.

Burial at Oakwood ceme­tery. Born near Augusta, Georgia, and married in 1861, Athens, Georgia, to Miss Sallie Ward. Served 35 years in Texas ministry.

Thu., Nov. 1 (2-4): Mrs. Temple Morrow, 25, died today at her residence, 1101 Washington. Came here several weeks ago from Quannah. Mr. Morrow is a cousin of William A. Morrow. Funeral today from the residence, then ship remains to Quanah for burial. Mrs. M. E. Morrow is mother of Temple, and Mrs. Carl is the mother of Mrs. Morrow. Mrs. Lasaster of Guthrie is a sister.

Thu., Nov. 1 (3-6): Charles Schroeder, a farmer, died one mile south of Mart today in a collision at a railroad crossing. Middle aged. Lived in Falls Co., near the county line. Wife and children.

Mon., Nov. 5 (2-5): Bridal Salazar died yesterday on the J. H. T. Hunter farm in the Spring Valley area. Shot with a pistol. Said to have been done by Domin­go alias Sanda Ortego.

Mon., Nov. 5 (5-4): Mrs. Sallie C. Bagby, wife of James F. Bagby, died today, age 48. Long-time resident of Waco. Married first to Horace Rowe; had two children, Miss Bert and Mrs. Maud Rowe McGhee of Dallas. . Married secondly to Mr. Bagby; four children survive: George and Ray of Waco, and Mary Lou, a little girl; also Frank Bagby in the Navy. Mrs. Bagby was a sister of Mrs. Horace Pick­ett and Mrs. T. N. McMullen Jr. Funeral tomorrow from the residence at 29th and Washington.

Tue., Nov. 6 (8-4): Mrs. H. M. Cruger died in Austin yesterday, age 76. Born May 2, 1830. Mother of Mrs. H. T. Cruger and grandmother of Miss Nettie Autry of Waco. Funeral in Austin today. Known in Waco.

Wed., Nov. 7 (2-4): Isadore Sleeper, age 5, child of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sleeper of Indian Territory, died yesterday at the residence of Charles Evans, 13th & Morrow. Family was here on a visit. Funeral today from the residence of Mr. Lewis. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., Dec. 6 (2-1): Mrs. W. K. Finks died yesterday in Spokane, Washn. No chil­dren. Formerly of Waco. Mr. Finks is a brother of Mrs. M. W. Eubank.

Mon., Dec. 10 (2-7): Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore of Dallas died Saturday. Remains were sent to Waco yesterday for burial from the residence of T. P. Moore of South 3rd street. Mrs. Moore, the mother, was ill. Child was 3 or 4 days old.

Thu., Dec. 13 (2-4): Rev. J. M. Gaddy died on a train today, age about 53. He leaves a wife and two daughters: Mrs. Frank Morris and Mrs. W. E. Brittain. Mr. Gaddy was formerly of Waco. Burial at Dallas?

Fri., Dec. 14 (3-4): J. T. (G.P.?) Robinson, negro, died last night in a knife fight with Davis Isom.

Funeral Sunday at St. Paul's Church. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Born at Norwick, N. Y., Aug. 13, 1821; was age 86. Married Aug. 23, 1844, to Rev. Samuel Willis Tucker Lanham was born at Spartanburg, South Carolina, July 4, 1846. Son of James Madison and Louise D'Aubrey Tucker Lanham. Married Sarah Boone Meng.

Mon., Aug. 3 (2-4): Juan Piento was killed Saturday at Mart. Two Mexicans were charged: Ratchel Martinez and Doni Reiss.

Mon., Aug. 3 (5-4): Funeral for Mrs. E. A. Miller, who died Saturday, was held yesterday at the residence of her brother-in-law, Dr. J. T. Parker, and niece Mrs. R. A. Ward. Rev. J. J. Grier officiated. Burial at Bosqueville cemetery beside her mother, Mrs. Sarah Sadler. Was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Minor Sadler. Born July 9, 1832, York Co., S. C. Married to S. N. Miller in 1865.

Mon., Aug. 3 (8-2): Mrs. Mary Gilbert, 79, died at The Home on South 10th today. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Lovett of Santiago, Calif; and two sisters in Illinois. Resident of Waco 20 years.

Tue., Aug. 4 (8-5): Funeral of Mrs. Mary Gilbert was today, by Dr. A. J. Barton of the First Baptist Church. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sat., Aug. 8 (8-3): Mrs. Mary McMahan, 80, died in Houston yesterday. Resident of Waco 33 years. Mother of L. G, and J. B. Mye of Waco. Survived by two sons and six grandchildren. Remains arrive tomorrow, at the home of L. G. Mye, 1021 Taylor. Funeral tomorrow, Church of the Assumption. Burial at Holy Cross.

Sun., Aug. 8 (8-7): Remains of Miss Bonner Jurney arrived in Waco yesterday from Dallas, where she died yesterday. Funeral today from the family residence at 120 North 9th. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Aug. 10 (3-5): E. P. Hitchler, a printer, died 10 years ago. Was found between Morgan and McGregor, and was buried in the printers' lot. A brother has been located, J. A. Hitchler of Louisville, Ky.

Mon. Aug. 10 (8-6): Funeral of Miss Bonner Jurney was yesterday from the res­idence of Mrs. Jurney, on North 9th, by Rev. E. E. Ingram. Burial at Oakwood.

Tue., Aug. 11 (2-6): Mrs. S. E. Wood of Leslore, Okla., died today age 76. Lived in Waco about ten years ago.

Tue., Aug. 11 (5-5):Capt. S. M. Strayhorn, aged past 70, died yesterday at Granger. Father of Dr. J. M. Strayhorn. Confederate. Survived by wife and three children: Dr. J. M. of Waco, Mrs. Lee Clark of Rockdale, and Mrs. Dr. Pipkin of Elberta, La.

Tue., Aug. 11 (5-4): R. S. Stansland died at Pecos. Formerly lived in Waco.

Wed., Aug. 12 (5-3): Major Charles B. Pearre, old and honored citizen of Waco, died last night, age 74, at his home, 908 South 4th, of erysipelas.  Nov. 27. 1860, married Hallie K. Earle. She died Apr. 13, 1893. In the fall of 1861, he joined Co. A of Terry's Texas Rangers. Later. practiced law. In 1884, was appointed U.S. District Attorney for the Northern District of Texas. Children: Mrs. Ben Cabell, Dallas; Charles B. Pearre Jr., Waco; Miss Lucile and Earle Pearre.

Wed., Aug. 12 (5-4): Mrs. A. Campbell died today at her home, 929 North 11th. Husband and son survive. Came to Waco as a young woman. Later, on a farm near Lorena. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Eldridge of Waco. Funeral Thursday. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Wed., Aug. 12 (5-4): J. M. Wortham, 65, died at his home in Wortham Bend last night. One of the oldest settlers of the county, before the war. Enlisted and returned after the war. Leaves wife, four sons and two daughters: Matt, Lee, John, Carl, Ella, and Ima. Funeral at the residence; burial at family ceme­tery today.

Wed., Aug. 12 (5-4): Miss Hessie Rudicul, 14, died last night at 820 Earle St. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Greenwood cemetery, Rev. Ammons.

Thu., Aug. 13 (8-3): C. T. Wells, 84, died today at the residence of his daugh­ter, Mrs. J. W. Gooch, 1314 South 8th. Born Jefferson Co., Ky., Dec. 5, 1824. Married Miss Elizabeth McDonald in Louisville, Ky., Nov. 1, 1849. Father of 12 children; 10 survive: Walter, Jake, Miss Henrietta, Mrs. J. S. Cheek, Mrs. S. W. Rash. Dr. T. H., H. and M. J., Mrs. J. W. Gooch, and Mrs. J. F. Wells, of Waco. Ship remains to Madisonville, Kentucky, for burial.

Mon., Aug. 17 3-5): Mrs. W. G. Connor died today at her residence, 603 North 4th, aged 86. Funeral Tuesday from the residence, by Rev. E. Hightower. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Born Barnwell Co., S. C., Mar. 20, 1822; was in 87th year. Married to Dr. W. G. Connor in a Methodist church in S. C. To Waco in 1872. Waco Female College. A daughter, Mrs. Alfred Abeel is in Rome, N. Y. Thu., Aug. 20 (4-6): John P. Majors of Robinsonville community died at his home yesterday. Born in Bedford Co., Tenn., Feb. 19, 1844; now aged 64. To Texas in 1866. At Robinsonville 42 years. Seventeen years ago, married Mrs. W. J. Lenox. No children born. Stepchildren: T. L. Lenox, W. J. Lenox, and Mrs. Williams. Sister, Mrs. Sarah Hall at Copeland, Texas. Funeral today, Robinson­ville Presbyterian church, by Rev. C. T. Caldwell and Rev. Matthews of Gon­zales. Burial at Robinsonville.

Mon., Aug. 24 (4-5): Mr. W. J. Lacy, 54, died yesterday at the family resi­dence, 402 North 14th. Funeral tomorrow from the late residence, by Rev. A. B. Ingram. Born Christian Co., Ky., July 14, 1854, 3rd of 4 children born to William and Mary Caroline Lacy. Father died in 1858. The mother married and moved to Brenham, Texas, and in 1874 to Dallas. Mr. Lacy married at Hot Springs, Ark., Aug. 13, 1878, to Miss Rosa Moore, daughter of J. W. and Agnes Moore. Survived by wife and seven children: William N., Harry T., Ruby, Mary Helen, Jessie A., John Newton, and Genevieve. To Waco about 13 years ago. Feed busin­ness.

Thu., Sept. 10 (2-6): Mrs. Della Jones Ish died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Hodges, on Herring Ave. today. Born Milam County, Oct. 26, 1840. Daughter of Isaac Standefer, first judge of Milam County. In 1867, she married J. K. Ish and they located in the Speegleville area. Survived by two sons and one daughter: John I. Ish of McGregor, W. S. Ish of South Bosque, and Mrs. W. E. Hodges of Waco. Funeral tomorrow at the home of daughter, by Rev. J. Edw. Johnson of James Street Baptist Church. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., Sept. 13 (6-7): Rev. Edwin Jones, Presbyterian minister who has lived in Waco several years, died yesterday at the residence of his nephew, Jack Norton, 405 Washington, aged 73. Wife died some years ago and was buried at Oakwood cemetery. Leaves several children. Was a Mason. Funeral today from the residence of nephew.
