Thu., Mar. 28 (8-4): Willie Mildred, child of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dunn, age 2 years and 5 months, died yesterday at 1721 South 9th. Funeral today, Rev. W. A. McKinney; burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Fri., Mar. 29 (3-5): Remains of J. B. Daniels, who died July of 1897 in Col­lege Heights , were exhumed yesterday to get evidence in the killing.

Sat., Mar. 30 (8-4): M. L. Mihalaki died at his home at 8th & Webster yester­day. Born in Germany 1844. To Texas with his parents in 1853, to near San An­tonio . Later, to Athens , where he married Miss Caroline Cebus, July, 1866. In 1890, to Waco . Had a general mercantile business at 7th & Webster. Three daughters: Mrs. Ben Thomas, Mrs. Ed Steed, and Mrs. J. Rufe Bowen, all of Waco. The remains will probably be shipped to San Antonio.

Sun., Mar. 31 (5-3): T. Jay Womack was mortally shot by A. B. Meek yesterday at the Meek residence near 18th & Morrow. Family feud. Meek married Womack's sister. Womack was a well-known attorney, son of the late Dr. T. J. Womack.

Mon., Apr. 1 (5-3): T. J. Womack died yesterday. Born in Waco Feb. 9, 1872; was 29. Son of the Late Dr. T. J. Womack, a physician. In May of 1898, married Miss Ella Willie, youngest daughter of the late Judge A. H. Willie. Was ad­mitted to the bar. Funeral today from the residence at 525 North 5th, Rev. Nelson, Rev. Hotchkiss, and Rev. Page officiating. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Tue., Apr. 2 (5-3): The remains of T. Jay Womack were buried yesterday at Oakwood cemetery.

Tue., Apr. 2 (8-4): A. C. Murelle, age 50, died at his home, 822 Austin, yes­terday. A railroad man, passenger conductor, etc. Wife and two children. Ship the remains to Houston.

Thu., Apr. 4 (5-5): Chester Selvidge, age 2 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Selvidge, died last night. Funeral from the residence at 1532 South 5th today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Fri., Apr. 5 (5): Chester Selvidge, age 2, died Wednesday.

Sun., Apr. 7 (5-3): A. B. Meek has been remanded for trial in the killing of T. J. Womack.

Sun., Apr. 7 (8-5): Emma Ann, infant daughter of Charles and Sallie McCulloch Furgeson, died at the C. C. McCulloch residence Thursday. Funeral services by Dr. Page. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., Apr. 7 (15-5): Mrs. Mary I. Beatty died Friday six miles east of Waco on the Corsicana road, of old age. Was 82. Wife of John Beatty, who died about 5 years ago. Married in this county 35 or 40 years. Four children left: Charles B. and Eugene Beatty; Mrs. L. B. Robertson, and Mrs. Mary B. Goodman. Grandson in Waco : Oscar Robinson. Two children deceased: Jennings and Adolphus. Funeral yesterday from the residence. Burial at Oakwood beside husband.

Mon., Apr. 8 (5-5): Mrs. Mary Forney Black died at the residence of her father, 601 South 6th, yesterday. Recently returned from Hamburg, Ark. Funeral from the residence today, Rev. Hotchkiss officiating.

Tue., Apr. 9 (5-5): Remains of W. D. Powell Sr. arrived from Mangum, Oklahoma, accompanied by W. D. Jr. Died of old age, etc., at age 89. Formerly of Waco . Burial at First Street cemetery.

Wed., Apr. 10 (8-4): Mrs. E. W. McMurray died at the home of her son, E. W. McMurray, on Robinson road, yesterday. One of the oldest citizens of the coun­ty, came to Texas in the fifties. Five children survive: G. W., S. J., W. W., J. A.; and Mrs. Annie Wilkinson. S. J. McMurray is a minister at El Paso . Funeral today; burial at Robinson cemetery.

Thu., Apr. 11 (6-5): Little Mary Ellen Yates died today at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Yates, of scarlet fever. Funeral today from the residence of Judge J. C. Walker, 124 North 14th street.

Fri., Apr. 12 (2-7) Edith, age 5, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. N. A. Olive, died today. Funeral from the residence today.

Fri., Apr. 12 (8-6): Max Goldstein, son of L. H. Goldstein of Taylor, and nephew of I. A. Goldstein of Waco, died yesterday at Taylor . Funeral today from the residence of Louey Migel; burial at Hebrew Rest cemetery.

Fri., Apr. 12 (8-3): Mrs. Martha A. Poulson died yesterday at her residence, 708 South 5th, age 78. A resident since 1869. Arrived from Norway a year earlier. Four children: Knute Poulson, Miss Kate, Anthon and Anders Poulson. Funeral from the residence; burial at Oakwood cemetery, Rev. Rystad of Norse, Bosque county.

Sat., Apr. 13 (5-3): William Davis, Tax Assessor for McLennan County, died at his home on South 3rd yesterday, of paralytic stroke. Born Port Sullivan, in Milam County, Texas, March 3, 1846. Enlisted Company H, 19th Texas Infantry in the C.S.A. With Marmaduke in the raid through Missouri. Came to McLennan county after the war and settled on the Bosque. In 1869, married Miss Susie Cobb, daughter of Judge J. A. Cobb. In 1883, moved to South 3rd street in Waco. Seven children were born, six living: Lena, Roy, John, William, Sudie, and Lilla. Funeral tomorrow; burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Apr. 15 (4-5): Phillis Battle, colored, died on the B. E. Sparks farm last night and was buried in the colored cemetery at Bosqueville.

Mon., Apr. 15 (5-3): William Davis was buried at Oakwood cemetery yesterday.

Tue., Apr. 16 (2-5): Mrs. S. C. Clayton died Thursday at West. Burial at Bold Springs.

Tue., Apr. 16 (5-5): The Custead Airship Co. offers stock at 25 per share. Tests daily at Elm Mott.

Wed., Apr. 17 (5-4): Prof. Gustav A. Schaus, musician of Waco, suicided yes­terday at his apartment at 919 Speight. Born near Mannheim, in the Duchess of Nassa, Germany. To America in 1875. To Baylor University in 1894. Married Miss Effie Collier of Waco five years ago. She survives. Funeral yesterday from the residence of Prof. Greer. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thur., Apr. 18 (6-4): Will King, negro, was found guilty of killing Policeman W. D. Mitchell.

Sun., Apr. 21 (5-3): Albert Davis, eldest son of W. W. Davis, accidentally was killed yesterday on Hewitt road. Had been hunting. Gun discharged in the buggy. Funeral tomorrow from the residence, 17th & Austin, today, Rev. Frank Page.

Wed., Apr. 24 (8-3): Mrs. P. Bletsch, mother of Mrs. J. B. Kraft, died at her residence, 1116 Speight, yesterday. Funeral today; burial at Perry.

Wed., Apr. 24 (8-3): Mrs. L. V. Best, wife of W. H. Best, died yesterday at her home in College Heights. Husband and two children: Mrs. Lillian Beall of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Bert Best of Waco. Funeral today; burial at Oakwood.

Sat., Apr. 27 (8-3): Funeral of Bradley Holman Smith was yesterday at the res­idence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Smith, 1111 Washington. Age 17. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sat., Apr. 27 (8-4): Little Josephine Watson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Watson of East Waco, died yesterday, aged 1 year. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Apr. 29 (8-4): W. R. Dunnica, in real estate, died in Chicago yesterday. Well known in Waco.

Mon., May 6 (6-1): Col. H. E. Conger, 60, died at his residence, 922 North 5th, yesterday. Born at Cherokee Bend, Knox Co., Illinois, Oct. 20, 1841. He enlisted in the 52nd Illinois Volunteers, Company G. After the war, to Texas with his brother, E. D. Conger. Bought land near China Spring. Member of the G.A.R. Wife, Levinia. Funeral from the residence today; burial at Oakwood.

Mon., May 6 (6-1): Leopold Lazarus, 40, died at his home on Columbus yesterday. Resident of Waco a long time. Had brothers in Waco and New York. Funeral today; burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Tue., May 14 (2-1): Rev. Rufus C. Burleson, ex-president of Baylor University, died today. Funeral pending.

Tue., May 14 (5-3): B. E. Dotson, 23, died at his boarding place, 1603 South 4th, yesterday. Baylor student. Remains shipped to Brenham for burial.

Tue., May 14 (5-3): J. M. Patrick, 54, died at his home on North 9th yesterday. Remains to Bosqueville today.

Wed., May 15 (3-1): Funeral of Dr. Rufus C. Burleson was today. Born near Decatur, Alabama, Aug. 7, 1823, son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Byrd Burleson, one of thirteen children. Licensed to preach at age 17. To Nashville University. In 1847, graduated from Western Theological Seminary of Covington, Kentucky, and came to Texas a year later. In 1851, became president of Baylor University. Funeral from the auditorium. Guard of honor appointed.

Thu., May 16 (2-6): Prof. J. H. Hurwood, pioneer newspaper man of Waco, died at his residence, 519 Novelty, today of cancer of the stomach, age 68. Came to Waco soon after the Civil War. Began with the Daily Examiner, ended as a solicitor for the Times-Herald. Wife and two sons, George and Ollie here. Funeral pending.

Thu., May 16 (2-6): Col. J. W. Hall died at 12 last night at his residence at 1016 South 4th. A Mexican War veteran and pioneer Texan. Funeral today by the Odd Fellows. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Thu., May 16 (5-3): Funeral yesterday for Dr. Burleson. Burial at Oakwood. The banks closed at 1 p.m.

Fri., May 17 (5-3): Funeral of Col. John W. Hall. Born April 8, 1827, Hickman Co., Tenn. Moved with his parents in 1828 to Green Co., Alabama. In 1835, to Sumpter Co., Alabama, and in 1846 to Gonzales, Texas. April 1846, joined Capt. Ben McCulloch's company of Texas Rangers and took part in the Mexican War. On June 3, 1847, married Miss Mary F. Mauldin, daughter of Dr. William P. Mauldin. Lived in Caldwell and Gonzales counties. In 1862, joined Willis' battalion in the Civil War. Lost wife in 1875. Was on the Pacific coast for 18 years, mining. Worked for Hubert Howe Bancroft. To Waco in 1890. Married Miss Alice Richey.

Fri., May 17 (5-3): Funeral of Prof. J. H. Hurwood. Born Sheffield, England, March, 1833. Was trained in engineering and mineralogy. To the U. S. and to Illinois, where he married Miss Teressa L. Bowman. Taught school in St. Louis. In 1876, to Texas, and to Waco in 1877. Soon engaged in the newspaper busi­ness. Worked for various papers here.

Sat., May 18 (5-5): The remains of J. A. Ziveley, who died at Dallas Thursday, arrive in Waco yesterday, and were taken to the residence of W. D. Brown, 816 South 4th. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Was a traveling man. Brother-in-law of Mr. Brown. Wife and one child.

Mon., May 20 (8-4): ____  Phelps was killed by a S. A. & Aransas Pass railway train near Cameron yesterday. Asleep on track. From Vermont, a painter.

Tue., May 21 (5-5): George William Ward, young son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Ward, died at the residence of John J. King yesterday. His family was visiting the King family. Will be buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston.

Tue., May 21 (6-4): Thomas Lyle Raborn, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Raborn, died at their home, 2021 Sanger, yesterday. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., May 23 (6-4): Mr. Sultan died about two weeks ago, probably in St. Louis. Known in Waco.

Fri., May 24 (4-5): Paul Moncus, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Moncus, died at the residence of Mrs. Muhl, 423 North 4th, yesterday. Funeral from the res­idence today.

Fri., May 24 (4-5): Alfred Guy Jaynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Jaynes, died at their residence, 1429 Franklin, yesterday. Funeral yesterday.

Wed., May 29 (6-5): Mrs. A. C. Riddle died yesterday at her home in East Waco. Was reared near Bosqueville, and married A. C. Riddle there. Husband and four children left. Funeral from the residence today, Rev. G. W. Riley. Burial at Bosqueville. Nee Miss Sue Sedberry.

Wed., May 29 (6-5): Roy Conlee, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Dorsett, died at 412 South 4th yesterday. Funeral today from the residence. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.

Fri., May 31 (5-5): E. L. Culver died yesterday at the Exchange Hotel. Was from Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Came here to find work. Had wife and child. Had tried suicide. Buried yesterday by the County. Unknown cause of death.

Mon., June 3 (5-5): Helen Lillie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mont Somes, died at home, 602 North 10th, yesterday. Funeral at McKinney, Texas, today.

Wed., June 5 (6-5): William Hamilton, negro, was found dead at his residence, 1713 Jackson, yesterday. Bullet in body. His wife Ella said that he suicided. Age about 35. Wife was arrested.

Sat., June 8 (8-4): Richard Sanders Rodgers, born Jan. 9, 1881. Died yesterday, aged 20-2, at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Y. C. A. Rodgers, 608 South 5th. Funeral today.

Sun., June 9 (5-5): The remains of Richard Sanders Rodgers were buried at Oakwood cemetery, from the residence on South 5th, Dr. Addison Clark officiating.

Mon., June 10 (8-4): Jones family reunion at Waco. Mr. and Mrs. Jones of Palestine met seven of his children. First time since 1866. Elder Jones is 81. The children: Dr. George W. Jones, Mrs. Mary M. Moore, Mrs. Sue M. Linthicum, Cyrus Y. Jones, Stephen L. Jones, Andrew P. Jones, Henry M. Jones, Mabra Madden Jones was born in Kentucky in 1820. To Missouri 1840, and married Miss Sarah Lovelady, daughter of Elder James Lovelady. In 1844, to Texas; blacksmith. Wife died in DeWitt county in 1860. In 1863, married Miss Martha Ponten in Lavaca county.

Wed., June 12 (6-4): Mrs. Fannie N. Hunley died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Winston, 1910 Webster, age 78. Resident of Dallas, was on a visit. The remains were shipped to Dallas.

Wed., June 12 (6-4): Mrs. Alice Beardsley died at her home at 601 South 10th yesterday. Member of the Baptist Church. Husband and two children. Funeral from the residence today, Rev. W. A. McKinney. The remains will be taken to McGregor for burial.

Sun., June 16 (8-3): C. M. Lewis, Pullman sleeping car conductor, was found dead near the railroad track, two miles west of Waco. Fall & Puckett took the remains. A Royal Arch Mason. Age about 30. Bullet hole in left temple.

Sun., June 16 (15-4): Mrs. Minnie Oaks Spivey, wife of Sam L. Spivey, died at her home in Dallas yesterday. Burial at First Street cemetery in Waco today.

Sun., June 23 (5-4): Joseph Eikel, Waco business man, died at his home, 1010 Washington yesterday. Born near New Braunfels, 1850; was age 50. In 1876, to Waco. Hardware dealer. Aug. 1880, married Miss Louise Shenck of Austin. Wife and four children: Vivian, Josie, Joe and Alsie. Brothers in Houston, Taylor, and Mexico; sisters in New Braunfels and Cuero. Odd Fellow, Elk, and T.P.A.   Burial at Oakwood cemetery, Rev. Dr. Frank Page officiating.

Sun., June 23 (15-4): Lament: for Mrs. Ella P. Owen of Waco, who died in Ver­non May 18, 1901, by  Mrs. J. W. Kerr.

Mon., June 24 (5-4): Remains of the late Joseph Eikel were buried at Oakwood cemetery yesterday. Large attendance of business men.

Mon., June 24 (8-4): Remains of T. J. Sims and two infants deceased years ago and buried at Rock Creek cemetery, were taken to Georgia.

Wed., June 26 (8-4): A negro thought to be Joe Henry was found dead on the Katy railroad tracks yesterday, age about 30.

Thu., June 27 (8-4): W. B. Fakes, age 47, died at his home in College Heights yesterday. Born at Baird's Hill, Wilson Co., Tenn. Educated at Forrest Hill Academy. To Waco in 1870, practiced law. Later, moved to Coryell county and became county attorney. Later, back to Waco. Leaves a brother in Baird's Hill and a brother and sister in Fort Worth; wife survives. Funeral yesterday, attended by the Waco Bar Association.

Sun., June 30 (6-3): Old Settlers Picnic: Will McLennan born Iverhesshire, Scotland, Sept. 25, 1787; died Feb. 26, 1868, age 81. To Texas 1836. South Bisque 1844. House built 1946.[1846?] Duncan McLennan, 69, to Texas in 1836. B. J. Kendrick, 76, N. J. Buchanan, 75, etc.

Thu., July 4 (5-4): J. B. Chambers died yesterday at 1101 Vermont, age 74. Funeral also yesterday, from the residence. Father of J. T. and S. W. Chambers, Waco grocers.

Thu., July 4 (5-4): Josephine C. Trautshold, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Trautshold, died at the family residence yesterday. Funeral from the Catho­lic church today; burial at Catholic cemetery.

Thu., July 4 (8-4): U. E. Humphreys, father of W. A. Humphreys of Waco, died yesterday at Atlanta, Georgia.

Sun., July 7 (2-6): Sam Smith, age about 18, was shot and killed today by Fay­ette Stewart. He and his family were visiting wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Janes, 10th & Webster.

Mon., July 8 (5-5): Smith, who was killed by Stewart, was buried at the Catho­lic cemetery yesterday.

Mon., July 8 (8-4): Alf Duty, who was shot at Golinda Saturday, died Saturday night. Well known in Waco.

Mon., July 8 (8-3): Mr. Wright of Limestone county suicided yesterday by shotgun. Was known in Waco.

Thu., July 11 (5-4): Infant child of Mrs. J. L. Ray died at their home yester­day. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Fri., July 12 (5-5): Infant child of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Powell died yesterday at their residence.

Tue., July 16 (4-3): West Tennyson, of about two miles south of Crawford, was killed by a freight train July 13 or 14. Leaves a wife and two children. Was buried at Crawford.

Sun., July 21 (5-3): Judge John L. Dyer died at his residence on Herring Ave. yesterday. Born Sullivan Co., Tenn., July 17, 1843. At age 12, moved with his parents to Coryell Co., Texas. Was in the C.S.A. during the war, in Capt. Speight's company. Studied law at Coke, Herring & Anderson. In 1870, married Miss Herring, a niece of Capt. Herring. She survives with five children: John L. Jr., Mrs. C. F. Greenwood, Misses Gracie, Gladys and Felix. Funeral from the residence by Rev. S. A. King and Rev. John G. Kendall. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Wed., July 24 (8-4): Ella Howard, white, was found ill in a negro's home on North 2nd Monday. She died yesterday. Remains now at Fall & Puckett. Told con­flicting stories before she died.

Thu., July 25 (5-3): W. H. Lawson, colored, age about 23, died at the undertakers, Tears & White, yesterday. Was from Buda, Hays county. Natural causes.

Mon., July 29 (5-3): James D. Renegar, who ran a market at 11th & Webster, died yesterday of self-inflicted pistol shot, 1121 Webster. Age 30. Was des­pondent. Wife and two children. Brother in Lee county. Funeral pending.

Tue., July 30 (3-5): Leon Daniels, cousin of Prof. E. E. Cammack, accidentally killed himself yesterday on the Rogers farm two miles from Waco. Was hunting birds with a shotgun. Funeral from the Rogers house today. Burial at Bosque­ville, Rev. Ruffner.

Tue., July 30 (3-5): Mary, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Alvey, died at the residence, 515 South 10th, yesterday. Funeral from the residence today. Burial at Catholic cemetery.

Tue., July 30: Richard Henry Harrison, honored citizen, died at his home, 1705 South 8th, yesterday. Funeral today, First Baptist Church. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Born Monroe Co., Miss., Sept. 8, 1857; with parents to McLennan Co., Texas, 1858. His father was Confederate Brig. Gen. James E. Harrison, who died in 1875. Studied at Salado. Farmed until 1877; joined Texas Rangers under Maj. John B. Jones. In 1878, returned to McLennan county and farmed for his uncle, Gen. Thomas Harrison. Also read law. March, 1881, was admitted to the Waco Bar. Nov., 1884, was elected to the Texas Senate. Under Gov. Hogg, was First Asst. Attorney General. Returned to Waco in 1892. Mon., Aug. 5 (5-3): Charles G. Collins and Charles J. Wilson died in Waco yesterday. Collins died at Barrel House, apparently of poisoning, age about 45; six feet tall, black hair. Perhaps from Iowa. Wilson was a stone cutter from Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was found in a room over the Tivoli hall, 3rd & Franklin. Age about 35. Both were perhaps suicide. Both to Fall & Puckett.

Tue., Oct. 22 (5-3): Duel yesterday at Turf Saloon. Bill Harris, ex-Sheriff of McLennan County, and son W. T. Harris died. Dr. J. T. Lovelace and step-son, Z. T. Reynold, both of Speegleville, were held. A shotgun and pistol duel. The remains went to Fall & Puckett, then to the residence of Tom Parker, 23rd & Sanger. Mr. Harris was 58; the son, 27, unmarried. Wed., Oct. 30 (1-3): Leon Czolgosz was electrocuted at Auburn, N. Y. today. Acid was poured into the coffin for complete destruction.

Thu., Oct. 31 (4-4): Major John Page, father of Dr. Frank Page of Waco, died yesterday at his residence near Beaver Dam., Virginia.

Airy, Amherst Co., Virginia, Sept. 1, 1836; died Nov. 14, 1901, age 65-2-14. Son of Col. Champe Carter. To Texas 1859, to Ellis county. Enlisted in Confederate Army. After the war, to Waco. Thu., Dec. 5 (5-5): Dr. John H. Sears, old citizen of Waco, a physician, died at the residence of Judge J. N. Gallagher yesterday. Born Appomattox Co., Virginia, Oct. 9, 1826. Studied medicine at University of Virginia. To Texas in 1848. To Waco in 1854; married Mrs. A. A. Downs, nee Gurley, sister of Col. E. J. and Capt. Davis Gurley. She died about a year ago. Three children: Mrs. J. W. Taylor, Mrs. J. N. Gallagher, and John H. Sears Jr., all of Waco. In the C.S.A. as a surgeon of 32nd Texas Cavalry, under Col. E. J. Gurley. Mother was Miss Jane Louisa Carter whose first husband was James S. Harrison Jr., son of the late Gen. James E. Harrison. Half brother, Henry Harrison of Valley Mills and two full brothers, William and James Buchanan, also at Valley Mills. Mother died in 1892. His grandmother, Mrs. Henrietta M. Harrison, widow of Guy, and uncle, James M. Carter., survive. The remains will be sent to Waco.

Thu., Feb. 13 (8-3): Graham Baker died yesterday at Pottstown, Penn. Son of Col. J. A. Baker of Houston and nephew of Mrs. W. D. Herring and Mrs. A. P. Duncan of Waco. His mother was a sister of Mrs. Herring, and his father a bro­ther of Mrs. Duncan. Visited Waco often. Remains to Houston for burial.

Tue., Mar. 11 (5-5): J. G. Meisner died yesterday at the residence of Charles Schoener, 726 North 8th. Native of Germany. Lived at Waco nearly 40 years. Odd Fellow. Wed., Mar. 12 (5-3): Major Wiley Jones died yesterday on a street car near 13th & Jefferson. Was attended by Dr. O. I. Halbert to no avail. Was taken to the residence of W. H. Jones. He came to this section in 1851. Was alderman, fire chief, street commissioner, etc. Funeral from the residence of J. E. Eagan on Columbus street. Born Blount Co., Alabama, 1829. To Milam Co., Texas, 1848. Enlisted in the Rangers under Capt. John Connor. Married in Milam county 1849. In 1851, settled in McLennan county on the Bosque 12 miles from Waco and farmed. To Waco in 1865, in the livery business. In 1863 joined Co. G, 5th Texas Cavalry, but was detailed a major to buy cattle. Delivered 10,000 per year. Wife was Miss Margaret Ellison, sister of Joe Ellison. Surviving children: Travis of Los Alamos, New Mexico, William H., Mrs. James E. Eagan, and Miss Rosa of Waco,; Mrs. W. H. Wed,, June 18 (5-6): Walter Moore, formerly with Western Union in Waco, died recently in Dallas. His mother lived at Wills Point.

Thu., June 19 (2-3): Remains of Ed Phillips, who died on the Fort Worth & Denver train near Clayton, N. M., Monday night, will arrive in Waco tonight, accompanied by his father. He was accidentally poisoned two years ago with cyanide of potassium. Lung was affected.

Sat., June 21 (3-5): Funeral of Eddie Phillips was yesterday from the residence on Webster. Burial at Oakwood cemetery, beside his mother.

Sun., June 22 (8): Rev. T. A. Reed, father of Emmett Reed of Baylor, died yes­terday at the residence of Mrs. J. W. Harris. Age 74. Leaves an aged widow and one son.

Mon., June 23 (8-4): Mrs. Tersile Frazier, 417 University street, died yester­day of heart trouble. Leaves husband and six children. Age 40. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Thu., June 26 (8-3): Mrs. C. W. McKennon died at the home of her parents in Lexington, Kentucky, yesterday. Is to be buried at a family cemetery in Lex­ington. Nee Heath. Married a little over a year ago. Well known in Waco. She taught oratory at Baylor.

Fri., June 27 (5-4): Capt. Edward McCullough of Mooreville died at his home there yesterday. Funeral from the Methodist church. Burial at family cemetery at Mooreville. Born Apr. 15, 1824, New Hampshire Co., Virginia. At age 15, began work on the railroad. To Missouri in 1855; later, was in merchandising. Enlisted in the Missouri State Troops. Was in battles of Lexington and Pea Ridge. With Shelby on the Missouri raid in 1864. After the war, came to Texas. Falls county 1865. Began farming. To Mooreville in 1868. Married Miss Sophie Erwin in 1857. She died in a few years, with one child. In 1867, was married to Miss Fiser. Surviving children: Tom and Howell of Waco; Ed. Jr., Burger, and Miss Sallie of Mooreville; Mrs. James of Belton; and Mrs. Lawrence Livingstone of Chilton, by first wife.

Fri., June 27 (5-5): W. M. Ragland, resident of Waco since 1871, died yesterday at the family residence on Fort near 22nd. An invalid since ten years ago. Wife and four children: W. B. and C. E. of Waco; Mrs. W. B. Kirk of Lincoln, Nebraska; Oscar of Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral today. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Fri., June 27 (5-5): F. A. Swinden died at his home at 700 North 11th yes­terday. Member of Knights of Pythias. Funeral from the residence today, Rev. John R. Nelson.

Sat., June 28 (8-3): Fred A. Swinden was born in Calcutta, India, Sept. 9, 1859. Came to the U. S. as a boy. To Waco in 1881, employed by Cameron & Co. In 1900, to Houston and organized the Bog Tree Lumber Co. Funeral yesterday. Leaves wife and a child. Married Miss Cavanaugh of Waco in 1883.

Wed., July 2 (3-5): Arthur Rehfield, age 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust. Reh­field, died at the family residence today. Remains shipped to Elgin, Texas.

Thu., July 3 (5-5): Edith A. Winton, 15, died yesterday at 2301 Franklin, of typhoid. Funeral today from the residence. Burial at First Street cemetery. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Winton.

Sun., July 6 (3-2): Capt. E. G. Rust, who died at Galveston July 4th, was a brother of Albert D. Rust, and was formerly of Waco, connected with the Baptist Standard. Age 65.

Mon., July 7 (5-4): Dave Anderson died yesterday. Shot by Joe Sparks in Jeffer­son alley between 3rd & 4th. Both negroes. Age about 50. Sparks shot the wrong man.

Mon., July 7 (8-3): Thos. J. Crow, 23, died yesterday at 709 South 6th, of typhoid. Was studying at Hill's Business College. Remains shipped to Temple.

Tue., July 8 (8-6): Mrs. Virginia A. Jones died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sherman Tull, last Saturday. Daughter of Baker and May Andrews. Was born in Kentucky, Feb. 16, 1829. With parents to Illinois at age 6. Married May 1, 1850, to Fountain Jones at Carrollton, Illinois. he died at Waco. Eleven children born. Six died in infancy. Surviving: Mary F. Greer, Fountain B., and Virginia H. Tull. One sister and three brothers. One is B. P. Andrews of Lincoln, formerly of Waco. Funeral at the residence of her daughter. Sun., Aug. 3 (5-4): James Surratt died yesterday of injuries in a fall from a horse. Lived with his mother, six miles east of Waco. Age 13. Nephew of Judge Surratt of Waco. The mother is a widow. Burial at family cemetery near the residence.

Tue., Aug. 5 (8-4): Ernest Rice, a boy aged 13 who was run over by a Katy freight Sunday, died yesterday. Legs were crushed. Mother at Mineral Wells. Remains sent there.

Thu., Aug. 7 (8-3): George Riley, known in Waco, died at Goldman, Ark., July 26. Married Miss Ida Mae Wold, step-daughter of Peter McClelland.

Thu., Aug. 7 (8-4): Mrs. Mildred M. Field, age 70, died at 1218 Washington last night. From Dallas recently. Remains were sent to Dallas today for burial in Oakland cemetery.

Wed., Aug. 13 (5-5): Capt. William Dunavant died near Eagle Lake Monday night. Shot by W. T. Elldridge. Known in Waco. Nephew of Mrs. Strother, widow of the late Mr. Strother of College Heights.

Thu., Aug. 14 (5-1): Capt. Dunavant was buried at Houston. Born Chester, S. C., son of Col. A. Q. Dunavant.

Fri., Aug. 15 (8-3): Mr. D. Henrickle died in a fire at the Landon hotel at San Angelo last Sunday. Was a resident of Waco. Burial at San Angelo.

Fri., Mg. 15 (6): Mrs. Caroline Hyde died at the home of her son, Peter B. Lairdlow, 1503 1/2 South 5th, at age 90. Burial at Oakwood cemetery tomorrow.

Sat., Aug. 16 (5-5): Mrs. Mary B. Casseday, 84, died at the residence of her son, W. A. Casseday, on South 18th yesterday. From a Kentucky family. Daughter of Gen. William Hall who was a governor of Tennessee. Born near Galletin, Ky. Married to Mr. Casseday in 1845. He died in 1880. Four children survive. Funeral from the residence of W. A. Casseday today. Fri., Sept. 12 (8-3): Joe Bolfing, farmer five miles north on Dallas road, died yesterday on Mrs. J. W. Hall farm. Well caved in on him. Age about 35. Wife and four children.

Sun., Sept. 14 (7-2): George C. Herd, a stranger, fell dead in the S.A. & A.P. railway depot. Fall & Puckett in charge. Brother, C. M. Herd, in San Antonio and another brother, A. B. Herd , in Houston. About 55 or 60. Had no right leg.

Mon., Sept. 15: Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Heard of San Antonio arrived yesterday. His brother, age 55, is to be buried in the Confederate veteran lot at Oakwood cemetery. Friends of Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Smith.

Mon., Oct. 6 (5-4): Mrs. Amelia Herz died at her home on South 5th yesterday. Born in Bavaria, Germany, and was 63. Married to Leopold Herz and they came to America in 1867, to Memphis, Tenn. To Waco in 1879. Mr. Herz died some years ago. Two sons, Alf and Sydney. Also Mrs. Sigmund Bruck of Tyler and Miss Sadie of New York. Funeral pending.

Born Cumberland County, North Carolina, Jan. 8, 1824, son of Malcom McGregor from Scotland. To Austin county, Texas, in 1852; practiced medicine. In 1859, married Miss Annie Portia Fordtran, eldest daughter of Col. Charles Fordtran of Austin County. Five children born, three living: A. W. of Seattle, Charles M. in Europe, and Mary Almelda, wife of H. C. McLendon of Waco. To Waco in 1873. Funeral from the residence, 6th & Washington, today. Burial at Oakwood, Dr. Frank Page.

Wed., May 6 (6-5): Remains of Reed Hill, who died at El Paso Sunday, were buried at Oakwood cemetery; in charge of Fall & Puckett. A former resident of McLennan county. Parents reside on the Rodney farm near Elm Mott. Age 23.

Thu., May 7 (4-4): Mrs. Therese Hanna Adkins died at 825 Austin yesterday, age 26 years. Wife of E. E. Adkins, who travels for a Cincinnati firm. Mother was with her. Remains shipped to her old home at Cincinnati, accompanied by her husband and mother.

Sat., May 9 (5-1): John C. Jurney Sr. died at the family residence on North 9th. yesterday, Born June 4, 1830, Hickman Co., Kentucky. At age 6, with parents to Paris, Tennessee. In 1855, with younger brother and two elder sisters, to Texas and Waco. One married the late William R. Kellum of the Kellum-Rotan gro­cery. The other married S. F. Sparks of San Jacinto fame. Both now dead. The brother, Cyrus W. Jurney, survives. In 1852, married to Miss M. A. E. Folts of Columbus, Texas, who died in 1875. Living children: John J. Jr., William W. of Indian Gap, and Richard with the Tom Padgitt Co.. In 1876, married Miss Mary Mozart Webb of Waco who survives. Three children: Chesley W., Edwin J., and Miss Bonner Jurney, Mr. Jurney was a Confederate soldier in Company D. of Griffin's Battalion. Resident of Waco for 48 years. Elder in Cumberland Pres­byterian Church, 12th & Washington. Funeral from the church Sunday. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Tue., Sept. 15 (5-6): Mrs. Guy McNamara died yesterday at her home in Bosque­ville. Funeral tomorrow from the residence. Burial in Bosqueville cemetery, Rev. Mr. Dinn of the Methodist Church officiating. Age 18.

Wed., Sept. 16 (8-3): Karl Arnold, a German farmer of near Leroy, drowned on Tuesday in his tank.

Thu., Sept. 17 (6-3): Grace, age 22 months, child of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Jones, died at the family residence, 700 North 11th, yesterday. Funeral today. This is the second of this family lost this week.

Thu., Sept. 17 (6-3): Mrs. Jessie Farquhar died at the residence of her uncle, J. J. Lott, 720 South 5th, today. Age 24. Funeral tomorrow from the residence. Burial at Oakwood.

Mon., Sept. 21 (2-3): "Maud Brown," really Alpha Mullens, died yesterday at 1st & Jones from an overdose of morphine. Age about 18. Came here from Limestone county, probably. Unhappy love affair blamed.

Mon., Sept. 21 (8-3): Mrs. John Florie died at the family residence today, age 33. Funeral today at Catholic church; burial at Holy Cross cemetery.

Wed., Sept. 23 (2-5): Miss Ella Gorman died today near College Heights. Ship remains to Bremond for funeral there.

Wed., Sept. 23 (6-5): T. C. Halsell died today at 701 North 10th, of cancer. Funeral tomorrow from the residence. Burial at Oakwood cemetery, Rev. Hotch­kiss and Rev. James L. Bowling officiating. Lived in Waco about three years. Age 61. Was from Gainesville. Two daughters in Waco: Mrs. Frank Ish and Mrs. W. M. Wood; and son George; another in Gainesville.

Thu., Sept. 24 (2-4): Infant child of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Anderson died yes­terday at 613 Earle. Funeral today from the residence. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.

Thu., Sept. 24 (6-5): Capt. J. H. Adams, a traveling man, died at his home, 1625 South 8th, Yesterday. "Capt. Jack" was auditor for the Rotan Grocery, and member of U.C.T. Age 50. Funeral from the residence, U.T.C. in charge. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., Sept. 27 (6-4): J. J. Smith was found dead in his pasture on Harris Creek. Was past 80. Burial at Rock Springs cemetery in Coryell county.

Sun., Sept. 27 (6-4): Mrs. J. B. Ross died at her home in South Basque yester­day. Is to be buried at McGregor cemetery today.

Sun., Sept. 27 (8-5): Mrs. Lilla Rains, wife of W. J. Rains, died yesterday. Was visiting parents near Palestine. Married 16 years ago. Lived in Waco six years. Remains to Waco for burial. Funeral tomorrow.

Mon., Sept. 28 (8-3): Frank Slaughter died yesterday at Axtell. Brother of Mrs. Turner Hubby and of Mrs. Dee Cook, and of Dr. Lee Slaughter of Ft. Worth. Age 28. Wife and two children. Funeral at family cemetery at Axtell today.

Sat., Oct. 3: An unknown man was killed by a train at Perry yesterday. Middle-aged and white.

Mon., Oct. 19 (2-4): M. M. Martin of West died of gin injuries, and was buried at Bold Spring cemetery Sunday. Wife and three children; mother, Harriet Martin; also brothers and sisters: W. B. and A.
