Wed., May 23 (4-1): Lillie B. Hamilton, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hamilton, died Tuesday at the residence of Capt. M. M. Boggess. Funeral today, burial at Oakwood.

Fri., May 25 (4-1): Mary Lou, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Seley, died at the family residence at 8th & Columbus.

Fri., May 25 (4-3): In Memoriam, for Lillie B. Hamilton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hamilton, who died May 22nd, age 16 months.

Sat., May 26 (4-1): Funeral for Mary Lou Seley today from the family residence. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Sat., May 26 (4-2): Rev. J. B. Allison, presiding elder of the Waco district, died at West Station yesterday. Funeral today from the Methodist church on 5th street.

Sat., May 26 (4-2): Rev. J. B. Allison, born Smith Co., Tenn., in 1828; was 54. At age 17, was a soldier in the Mexican War. Became a preacher 30 years ago. He was stricken Sunday midnight with paralysis at the residence of Dr. J. E. Snodgrass. His son, Rev. A. A. Allison, is pastor at Georgetown.

Sun., May 27 (4-4): Remains of Rev. J. B. Allison arrived in Waco yesterday and were taken to the residence of B. F. Richey on South 4th, and to the 5th Street Methodist church for the funeral, with Masonic rites. Burial at Oakwood.

Wed., May 30 (3-1): Remains of little Johnnie Moore, son of J. W. R. Moore, formerly of Waco , was shipped to Mr. Jackson, Virginia, for burial.

Wed., May 30 (4-3): Salvator Caci drowned yesterday in the Bosque while on a swimming party.

Thu., May 31 (4-3): Jacob Goldstein, 19, son of M. Goldstein, died May 30. Fun­eral from the family residence at 4th & Franklin today.

Thu., May 31 (4-2): Salvator Caci, the young Italian working in a candy fac­tory, who drowned, was aged about 24. His father is in Sicily.

Sat., June 2 (4-2): Gabe Austin, negro, was found murdered yesterday on the Steiner farm. Was strangled and shot. Aged about 45 or 50.

Sun., June 3 (4-2): Capt. S. P. Ross and son Will were shot at the residence of J. H. Hamlin at the edge of Waco near Waco creek. Mr. Hamlin mistook them for prowlers. The wounds may not be fatal.

Tue., June 5 (3-2): Jesse, 6 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Joseph, died Monday. Funeral yesterday, with Dr. A. Suhler officiating. Burial at the Hebrew cemetery.

Sun., June 10 (4-2): Mrs. Alice Dunning, wife of E. Dunning, died yesterday at the residence of her parents, J. C. and L. H. Pendleton. Funeral from the residence at 6th & Mary today; burial in First Street Cemetery.

Thu., June 21 (3-1): Daughter of Henry and Ellen Cooper, colored, died yester­day, age nearly 16, from dropsy of the heart. Funeral yesterday; burial at First Street Cemetery.

Sat., June 23 (4-1): Rosa King, infant daughter of William and Lida Hague, died yesterday: Funeral today.

Sun., June 24 (3-1): Etta Bartow, wife of Co. John L. Barto, died June 15 at Santa Fe. New Mexico. Formerly of Waco.

Fri., June 29 (3-1): Mrs. W. L. Muirhead, mother of Mr. L. G. Jordan, colored, died yesterday. Funeral at African M. E. church today.

Tue., July 3 (4-2): Mrs. Mary W. Shelton died at her residence on the Marlin road 22 miles below Waco , of black jaundice. Funeral today from the residence. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery . She was the widow of the late Kit Shelton. Sur­vived by 6 children.

Thu., July 5 (4-1): Sammy Lessing, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lessing, age 10, died July 4th. Was under the care of Mrs. Moore on Washington street . His par­ents are in New York . Funeral today probably.

Fri., July 6 (4-1): Funeral for Sammy Lessing yesterday with Dr. A. Suhler. Buried same day.

Sat., July 7 (3-1): Gus Alder of San Antonio, formerly of Waco , suicided yes­terday. Left Waco in 1881.

Sat., July 7 (4-1): Mrs. Sarah J. Austin, 27, wife of Mr. Jerre Austin, died July 5th. Funeral yesterday, with burial at First Street Cemetery.

Sun., July 15 (4-3): The remains of Joe Cavitt arrived in Waco Friday. He died at Runnells, Brown Co., a few days ago. Enroute to Franklin for burial. An early settler of Texas . For 25 years his cattle in McLennan Co. were kept by H. J. Cranfill.

Tue., July 17 (4-1): Richard Williams died yesterday at the poor farm. Burial by the County. A stranger.

Fri., July 20 (4-3): Mittie T. Turner, age 16 months, daughter of W. H. and Mittie L. Turner, died on the 19th. Funeral yesterday at the residence; burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Sat., July 21 (4-3): Jennie Ray, age 2 months and 13 days, daughter of R.J. and Laurie Mobley of East Waco, died yesterday. Funeral from the residence today, with burial at Oakwood.

Tue., July 24 (4-2): Daniel Smith, negro, died Sunday on the Majors place 13 miles below Waco , from overheating. Has been wrestling.

Tue., July 24 (4-3): George Clark Parr, age 16 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Parr of Bremond, formerly of Waco, died Wednesday last, of congestion and measles. Their son Archie also died recently.

Wed., July 25 (4-1): Funeral for Miss Mattie McLennan today.

Wed., July 25 (4-3): Miss Mattie McLennan, daughter of Neil McLennan, died yesterday at the residence on South Bosque. Died suddenly after a trip to Waco . Aged 18. Funeral today, burial in family cemetery.

Wed., July 25 (4-3): Mary Ann Dougherty, 14, niece of Thomas Dougherty, died July 20 of black jaundice. Father is foreman on section 6, H. & T. C. Ry.

Thu., July 26: Miss McLennan had been a pupil at Academy of Sacred Heart.

Sat., July 28 (4-3): Lizzie, 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Garner, died yesterday. Funeral today from the residence on South 4th; burial at Oakwood.

Sat., July 28 (4-3): In Memoriam, for 0la Little, who died July 27th.

Tue., July 31 (3-1): Negro killed by the Narrow Gage Ry. Saturday was buried Sunday.

Tue., July 31 (3-2): Question of a water supply for Oakwood cemetery discussed. Windmill proposed. Also, a plan to lay pipe there for $200.

Tue., July 31 (4-1): A Mr. McNeal, a stranger, was found dead near Clifton Sunday. Age about 50. Perhaps from Limestone Co.

Tue., July 31 (4-2): Ed Jemison, negro, was run over by the railway cars on Saturday night. Age about 25.

Wed., Aug. 1 (4-2): The infant daughter of W. J. Barnett died yesterday. To be buried today.

Wed., Aug. 1 (4-2): Ella Bruce, 14, daughter of Dr. L. N. Bruce of Mastersville, died Monday. Funeral yesterday.

Sat., Aug. 4 (4-1): Sedwick Newberry died yesterday. Buried yesterday.

Tue., Aug. 7 (4-3): Capt. R. W. Lusk died at his residence on 3rd street today. Funeral today.

Wed., Aug. 8 (4-1): Infant daughter of W. B. Austin died Aug. 4th, and the mother died July 6th last. Her name appeared as Mrs. Jenny Austin; should have been Mrs. W. B. Austin.

Wed., Aug. 8 (4-2): Capt. R. W. Lusk, a director of the Waco National Bank, died yesterday. Funeral yesterday at the family residence on North 3rd, with Masonic rites. Born Jan. 3, 1834, Hall Co., Georgia. Died at his residence in Waco Aug. 7, 1883, age 48. Left home in 1849 and went to California at age 12. To Texas at age 25. Married in Alabama Dec. 23, 1869 and returned to Texas. Member of the Methodist Church.

Sat., Aug. 25 (4-3): Ella Krause, daughter of Prof. and Mrs. E. W. Krause, died today. Funeral today from St. Paul 's Episcopal church.

Wed., Aug. 29 (4-2): William H. Stowers, age about 20, died yesterday. Had been working with a bridge carpenter for the Missouri Pacific Railway. Jumped from a moving train and struck the bank of a creek. Was from Whitesboro, Grayson Co. His remains are to be sent there.

Wed., Aug. 29 (4-2): Mrs. Elizabeth Harper, aged 71 years and 5 months, died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Hanna.

Wed., Aug. 29 (4-2): Mrs. Mary K. Anderson died yesterday at the residence of her son-in-law, George B. Campbell on Jackson street . Age 82. Resident of Waco for many years. Funeral today from the residence; burial at Oakwood.

Thu., Aug. 30 (3- ): The remains of Mrs. Harper, who died Tuesday, were ship­ped to Mount Calm for burial in family cemetery.

Fri.., Aug. 31 (4-2): Karen Nielsen, a Norwegian woman, was found dead in the Brazos yesterday. Had been cook for the John Wold family. Arrived in the U.S. March 21 last. Spoke no English. Age 35 to 40.

Sat,, Sept. 1 (3-1): Remains of Karen Neilson were buried yesterday by the County.

Sun., Sept. 2 (3-1): The grandfather of Mrs. T. L. Hurwood died recently in Bloomington, Illinois , age 98.

Tue., Sept. 4 (4-1): Mattie Lou, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Huff, age 4 yrs., 10 mos., died Sept. 2. Funeral from the Huff residence yesterday; burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Thu., Sept. 6 (4-2): James Caruthers was killed yesterday in a railway acci­dent 3 miles west of Ross. Was a cowboy, age about 25.

Sun., Sept. 16 (4-1): Horace Rowe died yesterday at the residence of his father-in-law, Albert Chalmers, of consumption, aged 31. Born in Travis county. Grad­uate of Waco University. Funeral today from the residence; burial at Oakwood.

Tue., Sept. 18 (4-2): Emma, 6 years, a daughter of James and E. G. Hall, died yesterday of slow fever. Funeral today from the residence on Franklin street. Another daughter, Anna, 16, died August 10.

Thu., Sept. 20 (4-2): T. M. Collins died yesterday, age 33. Born in South Car­olina. To Texas in 1870. To Waco in 1879. Had an interest in a drug store. Funeral today from the residence of Mrs. Jones. Member of J. H. Gurley Lodge 337.

Fri., Sept. 21 (4-1): Sears Rhea, age 3 years and 5 months, only son of W. B. Rhea and grandson of Col. E. J. Gurley, died July 16.

Fri., Sept. 21 (4-2): Funeral for T. M. Collins. Burial in Oakwood with Masonic rites. Large funeral procession. Dr. J. Mackey officiated.

Sat., Sept. 29 (4-1): Mrs. J. A. Fickey of Lorena, daughter of Mrs. Mary Mont­gomery, died yesterday at her mother's residence. Buried today at Mastersville. Leaves an infant child aged 5 weeks.

Sun., Sept. 30 (4-3): Rachel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Prescott, died Sept. 29. Funeral from the residence on Washington street today at the Catholic church.

Sun., Oct. 14 (4-3): Ernest N. Conger, age 19 years, 6 months, died Oct. 13. Funeral at the residence of his parents, Edward D. and Helen A. Conger on N. 12th street today. Born April 1, 1864, Knox Co., Illinois. To Waco with his parents in 1872. He was injured in an accident at the foundry.

Sat., Oct. 16 (4-2): Clara Inez, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Chambers, died Saturday at their home in McGregor. Funeral today from the residence of Lem Chambers at 6th & Austin.

Thu., Oct. 18 (4-2): Abner Riggs, 76, died at the residence of his son at the Bosque bridge Oct. 13. Born at New Haven, Conn.

Fri., Oct. 19 (4-1): Armistead Ross is very ill.

Sat., Oct. 20 (4-4): Old Armstead Ross, colored, was buried yesterday. Here over 30 years. Worth about $10,00 at his death. Came here when Capt. S. P. Ross came. His pallbearers were: Gen. L. S. Ross, Sheriff W. T. Harris, County Clerk John W. Baker, Tom Padgitt, and John V. Smith. Burial in the old cemetery.

Tue., Oct. 23 (4-1): Mrs. John S. Allen, wife of the pastor of the East Waco Baptist Church, was buried today at Oakwood. Funeral at the family residence in West Waco.

Wed., Oct. 24 (4-1): Mrs. Mary F. Bagby, wife of J. H. Bagby, died yesterday. Funeral today from the family residence in South Waco; burial at Oakwood. Rev. B. H. Carroll and Dr. R. C. Burleson officiated. Mrs. Bagby was the mother pf Luther W. Bagby.

Wed., Oct. 24 (4-1): E. L. Robinson of Galveston, 31, died at Robinsonville Tuesday. Funeral tomorrow, burial at Oakwood.

Thu., Nov. 1 (4-1): Riddle Battarie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Battarie, died Tuesday. Funeral yesterday at Geneva Cemetery.

Thu., Nov. 1 (4-3): A. O. Lynn died early today at the corner of 5th& Austin in a duel between Lynn and D. W. Cline. Age about 30. Ran a faro table over the saloon. His wife is at Nashville, Tenn.

Fri., Nov. 2 (3-3): The little daughter of Rev. A. S. Shelton at Mastersville on Tuesday was accidentally shot by her uncle, age 17, while hunting rabbits.

Fri., Nov. 2 (4-4): The remains of A. O. Lynn are to be shipped to Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Tue., Nov. 6 (3-3): J. E. Lynn, brother of A. O. Lynn, arrived in Waco Sunday to handle his brother's estate matters.

Tue., Nov. 6 (4-4): Charlie Bailey, colored, died Saturday in a quarrel with John Hammous, colored.

Tue., Nov. 6 (4-2): M. M. Wilkes, a resident of Limestone county, died Nov. 6 of morphine in Waco, either for suicide or out of drunkenness. Was interred in Waco cemetery yesterday.

Sun., Nov. 11 (4-2): Mrs. S. P. Lynn, widow of Austin O. Lynn, arrived in Waco yesterday. Indignant at his burial here. The funeral was held in Waco and he was buried here, later disinterred and sent to Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Tue., Nov. 13 (4-5): Mary Kathleen, child of Perry W. and Mary C. McGhee, died in Palo Pinto county Nov. 7, age 13 months and 21 days.

Tue., Nov. 13 (4-1): Mrs. Fanny L. Franklin, wife of George L. Franklin, died at San Antonio on the 12th. Youngest daughter of the late Rev. Otis Hackett of St. Paul's parish. Burial to be in Oakwood.

Wed., Nov. 14 (4-1): The remains of Mrs. Fannie L. Franklin nee Miss Hackett, arrived in Waco yesterday, escorted by Geo. L. Franklin, the husband. She died at San Antonio. Funeral today at St. Paul's church.

Thu., Nov. 15 (4-2) Sam Foster died in Falls county in a fight with neighbors Monday.

Sat., Nov. 17 (3-3): Judge Gerald is very ill.

Sun., Nov. 18 (3-3): Geo. C. Clarke (Scott?) died yesterday, and was buried at Oakwood today.

Sun., Nov. 18 (4-3): Andrew Walden died Nov. 16 in an accident on the Texas & St. Louis railroad.

Tue., Nov. 20 (3-2): James Mason, late of McLennan county 9 miles west of Waco, died Sunday of pneumonia. The remains are to be sent to Washington Co., Tenn.

Sat., Dec. 1: The census report shows a Waco population of 11,321.

Sun., Dec. 2 (4-4): Uncle Charles Donahue, aged nearly 100 years, is still able to walk the streets of Waco. Remembers the red coats of the British army. Was a slave. Came to McLennan county nearly 40 years ago. Built first cabin at Waco. Has had six wives, 60 children, and 207 direct descendants.

Thue., Dec. 6 (4-4): Rev. Hillery Moseley of Georgetown died yesterday. Was known in Waco.

Fri., Dec. 14 (3-3): Mike Powers, a section hand, was killed at Aquilla last Monday.

Sat., Dec. 15 (4-3): Robert E. Edmondson of Prairie Plains, Texas, died in Waco Dec. 14. Was attending Waco Business College.

Sun., Dec. 16 (3-3): Mr. W. T. Brazelton is very sick.

Thu., Dec. 20 (3-3): Mrs. Tom Dugleby died yesterday. A sister of W. R. Dun­nican.

Sat., Dec. 22 (4-2): Mrs. W. H. Wilkes died today, and was buried today from the family residence on Washington street.

Sun. Dec. 23 (4-2): Mrs. Melvina H. Wilkes, wife of the mayor of Waco, died. Born in Tennessee. Resident of Waco for 14 years. Burial yesterday at Oakwood, Rev. James Mackey officiating.

Tue., Dec. 25 (4-2): Mrs. Jefferson Davis, nee Miss Clara Yeager of Chicago, age 18, died Sunday. The husband is a son of Lee R. Davis.

Sat., Dec. 29 (4-2): Bill Weathers died Thursday at the residence of Charlie Granger. Was stabbed at China Spring Dec. 24. Age about 25. To be buried at Eichelberger cemetery.

Sat., Dec. 29 (4-3) The first marriage of a white Waco female was on April 6, 1849. W. C. Cunningham and Miss A. C. Barron, daughter of Thos. H. Barron, were married at the Fall of the Brazos.

Sun., Jan. 13 (4-2): William B. McMullen died yesterday at the residence of his parents. The funeral was at the Methodist Episcopal church, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Tue., Jan. 15 (4-2): The remains of W. B. McMullen were buried Sunday, with a large funeral pageant. Rev. James Mackey, Rev. B. H. Carroll and Rev. S. A. King officiated.

Wed., Jan. 16 (3-3): S. F. Kirksey and Stokels Slayden plan to locate a woolen mill at Waco.

Wed., Jan. 16 (4-3): Miss Zephie Hogan, daughter of Shels Hogan, died yester­day, aged 17. The father is in Tyler.

Wed., Jan. 16 (4-3): Miss Mary Zephie Hogan, daughter of S. A. and Mary E. Hogan, died Jan. 15. Funeral Thursday from the family residence.

Thu., Jan. 17 (4-1): Willie Migel, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Migel, died yester­day. Funeral from the residence today.

Sat. Mar. 1 (4-3): Irene L. Makeig, wife of Alderman F. M. Makeig, died yes­terday. Buried today at the family cemetery at White Rock. Age 34 years and 5 months. Married 18 years. Leaves two girls, ages 6 and 12. Third time in 18 months for death in the family.

Tue., Mar. 4 (4-3): Mrs. Hariet Williams, aged 77, died March 2 of pneumonia, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. C. Gates. Funeral today from the Gates residence, burial at Oakwood. A resident of Waco for 16 years, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Thu., Mar. 6 (4-5): Mrs. Evie Yowell, wife of R. M. Yowell, died yesterday at the residence near Axtell. Burial today at East Waco Cemetery.

Thu., Mar. 12 (4-5): Lillie W. Archdeacon, infant daughter of Richard Arch-deacon, died yesterday. Funeral today from the residence on Mary street be­tween 10th & 11th. Burial at Oakwood.

Tue., Mar. 11 (4-5): Will G. Smith of San Antonio, formerly of Waco, suicided yesterday in San Antonio. Brother of Robert Smith of Waco. The parents are buried at First Street Cemetery. His wife is an actress at the theatre. Age about 20. Wife nee Lizzie Mack of Waco. To be buried in First Street Cemetery at Waco.

Wed., Mar. 19 (4-4): Allison A. Blankinship of Palo Pinto county died there at his residence March 15th, of the effects of a Mexican War wound. Formerly of Waco.

Wed., Mar. 19 (4-4): Cuthbert Charles, infant son of Charles R. and Arora Hodges, age 2 months and 15 days, died. Funeral today from 1009 Columbus.

Elected Constable in 1855. At his death, was president if the Waco National Bank; had 5 farms. Married a second time in 1871 to Mrs. Twaddle, widow of Alf Twaddle, an early Sheriff. Survived by wife and 2 children: Mrs. Kellett and Mrs. Surratt. Weighed over 400 pounds at death.

Sun., Sept. 28 (4-2): Capt. Isaac P. Hutchison of Comanche and Mrs. Caroline M. Greene of Houston were married yesterday in Waco. The ceremony was perform­ed by Judge Thomas L. Hutchsion, his brother.

Sun., Oct. 5 (4-2): Tom Scott died today in a shooting. Tom Tatum was also shot on Austin street by Police Officer M. F. Amonet. He surrendered.

Mon., Oct. 6 (1-4): Scott was aged about 40 and had been employed by Wiley Jones livery stable. Came to Waco from Galveston. Survived by wife and 2 chil­dren, a boy 12, and a girl age 10. Two other children live elsewhere.

Tue., Oct. 7 (4-4): Coroner's inquest verdict: Tom Scott was shot to death by Amonett. $3000 bond set.

Fri., Jan. 23 (4-3): Rev. S. M. Kingston, aged about 70, a Methodist Episcopal minister, died yesterday at the Missouri Pacific Hotel on Jackson street, of paralysis. He came here from Milano Junction and became ill on the train. Had wife in Richmond, Va. Will be buried today unless otherwise ordered.

Sat., Jan. 24 (4-3): Wife of Rev. Kingston asked that her husband be buried here. He was accordingly buried at the First Street Cemetery. Rev. Horner and Rev. Francis R. Starr officiated.

Sun., Jan. 25 (4-4): In Memoriam: Major A.T. Rose Sr., an old resident, died Friday last at his residence 31 miles north of Waco, aged 66. Funeral today from the residence; burial in the cemetery at Bosqueville. He was born near Columbus, Georgia in 1819. Came to McLennan county in 1853. Had a family of 4 sons: Jo. A., John K, A. T., and James; and one daughter, the wife of Bart Moore. All survive; also a widow.

Sun., Jan. 25 (1-4): Mrs. Henry Cooney died Jan. 24 at the residence of J. B. Aveilhe at 10th and Columbus. Came to Waco from New Orleans about a year ago. Was a clerk in the office of the Texas Benevolent Assn. Was married to Miss Florence M. Carroll, Jan. 8, 1885. His mother arrived from New Orleans before he died. Funeral today, with Father Badelon officiating. Buiral at the Catholic cemetery on South 5th.

Tue., Jan. 27 (4-4): Mattie Coffee died yesterday of strychnine. A resident of Hungry Hill in a bagnio.

Sat., Mar. 28 (4-5): Mrs. Sediction Hearn, mother of Mr. W. M. Ragland, died today at the residence on North 8th. She came here from Tennessee about twelve years ago. She was also the mother of James W. and John E. Hearn.

Wed., Apr. 1 (4-4): Mrs. Sarah Bassett died Tuesday at the residence of C. C. McCulloch on Columbus street, aged 60. A resident of Waco the past 25 years.  Her husband died many years ago. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. C. C. McCulloch. Funeral today from St. Paul's church, with Rev. Francis R. Starr officiating. Burial at Oakwood.

Tue., May 12 (3-2): Absalom Buchanan, colored, who worked in the Examiner of­fice 10 years, died about a year ago. The funeral sermon will be next Sunday.

Tue., May 12 (4-3): John Burton was killed 24 years ago on Bridge Street in Waco by Charles Warren, witnessed by C. A. Sparks. Warren was found guilty on Nov. 5, 1861. Was allowed to join the Confederate Army. Returned to Waco about 1865. Was married 3 times. One in First Street cemetery now.

Tue., Aug. 25 (4-3): Capt. Tom J. Selman died Sunday morning. Born Maringo Co., Ala., Dec. 1, 1834. Aged 50 at death. Came to Texas in 1850, to Burleson county. In 1851, to Waco with his mother. In 1861 joined the Lone Star Guards and served in Hood's Brigade. Was elected captain of his company. In 1861, married Miss Lucy Moore in Tennessee. In 1865, he and his wife came to Waco and farmed. Tue., Oct. 13 (4-5): Dr. J. S. Carrington died Oct. 12 at Abilene. The remains will arrive in Waco for burial today. A former Waco resident, he married Miss Ermine Bagby, daughter of J. H. Bagby.

Wed., Oct. 14 (4-4): Miss Artie Hall died yesterday at the residence of James I. Moore. Funeral today from the Moore residence, Elder W. K. Homan officiat­ing, with burial at Oakwood. Was a sister of Rev. William E. Hall and a resi­dent of Waco for several years.

Thu., Oct. 15 (4-3): Col. John A. Hough died yesterday at Waco Infirmary. Funeral today from the infirmary, at First Street cemetery.

Sat., Oct. 17 (3-3): Mrs. Rosa Frank, mother of Abe Frank and Mrs. Friedlander, died at the residence of her son-in-law Thursday night, and was buried at Hebrew Rest yesterday.

Sun., Oct, 18 (3-4): James Q. Tinsley died Oct. 17 at his residence on South 8th, aged 36. Funeral today from the residence, with burial in Oakwood ceme­tery. Grew up from boyhood in Waco. A farmer. Survived by wife and 5 children, and a sister, Mrs. L. S. Ross.

Fri., Oct. 23 (4-5): Judge James F. Davis died yesterday. Leaves a wife and several grown children. Born in Pulaski Co., Tennessee, 1824. Married Miss Selman, sister of Tom J. Selman, Dec. 1850. Moved to Caldwell Co., Texas, where he practiced law. To Waco in November of 1851 and resided on the east side of the Brazos River, a mile above the old crossing. In 1852 was elected chief justice of McLennan County. Funeral is pending.

Sat., Oct. 24 (4-5): Chas. S. West died yesterday at Austin. A brother of Hon. John C. West. Age 56. A native of Camden, S. C.

Sat., Oct. 24 (4-5): The courts adjourned yesterday due to the death of Judge Davis.

Wed., Oct. 28 (4-5): S. J. Brown died Oct. 27 at Waco University. Was a resident of Homer, Louisiana. Member of Senior class. Brother of G. C. Brown. The remains were sent to Cleburne.

Sat., May 16 (4-1): Henry Warren, eldest son of Charles Warren, who was ar­rested last Sunday and brought to Waco for the murder of John Bruton 24 years ago, is asking a pardon for his father.

Mon., May 18 (4-2): Died Friday, little Willie, infant son and only child of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. W. Patton. Funeral Saturday, burial at First Street cemetery.

Wed., Apr. 14 (4-5): Miss Mattie Casler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Cas­ler, of Dayton, Ohio, died the 12th at the residence of John A. Warren, 6 miles south of Waco. The remains were shipped yesterday to Dayton, Ohio.

Sat., Apr. 17 (4-4): Willia Cox of China Spring died Thursday in an accidental shooting while hunting.

Educated in Waco.

Wed., Apr. 28 (3-5): Mrs. Henrietta Downs died April 27 at the residence of Col. R. B. Parrott on South 3rd. Funeral today.

Thu., Apr. 29 (4-5): Mrs. Henrietta Downs had lived in Waco 32 years. Nee Sparks. Was born in N. C. Aug. 28, 1808. Married to W. W. Downs at Salem, Geo., Aug. 10, 1823. In 1838 to Alabama with husband and children; then to Texas. To Waco in 1854. Col. R. B. Parrott is her son-in-law. Her husband, Rev. W.W. Downs died several years ago. Was the mother of 13 children. Five survive: Maj. J. W. Downs, founder of the Examiner; C. M. Downs, Mrs. R. B. Parrott, Mrs. John F. Marshal, and Mrs. Maddin of Tennessee. Funeral was yesterday, with burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Sun., May 30 (4-5): Mrs. M. A. Cain, wife of W. H. Cain Sr., died at their residence on Franklin Friday, aged 69. Had 7 living children, including Dr. W. H. Cain of Calvert, Dr. J. M. Cain of San Antonio, W. M. Cain of Lampasas, and Mrs. G. D. Maynard of Corsicana. Was buried at Calvert.

Tue., June 1 (4-4): Mrs. Elizabeth Hill died Sunday at the residence of E. H. Lynham. The remains were sent to Dallas yesterday, accompanied by a daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Lynham.

Tue., June 1 (4-4): William _larvin Winn died May 30, aged 18 years, at the residence of his uncle, Capt. J. P. Morris on Station Creek. Known as "Bug," he was a son of the late Col. John A. Winn of Waco.

Thu., June 10 (3-4): Dr. Thomas B. Little of Atlanta, Georgia, died at Malvern, Ark., aged 66. Brother of Simeon Little of Waco.

Thu., June 10 (4-3): Edward Taylor, a relative of T. C. Murray, was found dead Wednesday morning. Aged about 50. Buried by the city.

Sun., June 13 (3-5): Burrell Kendrick, son of John and M. E. Kendrick, died Friday at the residence of the grandfather, B. J. Kendrick of Whitehall. The burial was at Oakwood cemetery Saturday. Aged 6 years and 18 days.

Sat., June 25 (4-5): Mrs. James A. McSpadden died June 24, age 29 years, at Clifton. Georgianna McSpadden was born Jan. 1, 1856, near Sparta, La., a daugh­ter of John C. and Mary A. McCrary. To Basque county, Texas, with parents in 1864. To Waco in 1867. Was a student of Waco University. Married Feb. 1, 1874, to Prof. James B. Cundiff and moved to New Orleans. He died in 1877 of yellow fever; also the eldest daughter. She moved back to Waco and married James A. McSpadden Nov. 5, 1880. Survived by parents, husband, brothers, sister, and 3 children.

Sun., June 27 (4-5): Charles, infant son of Prof. Charles Haas, died yesterday of Cholera infantum. Funeral yesterday, burial at First Street cemetery.

Wed., July 7 (3-4): Dr. Joe S. Willis died at his home on South 4th yesterday of an overdose of bromides. His father, Joe M. Willis of Lampasas, brother of Lampasas; Col. W. B. Denison of Galveston, his brother-in-law; and brother-in-law Joseph Davis of Houston were notified. Funeral Thursday. He was born at Barneesville, Georgia, Oct. 6, 1849; was aged about 37. In 1858 moved with his father to East Texas, and in 1865 to Waco. In 1866, entered Waco Univer­sity. In 1869, went to Virginia and studied for three years at the University of Virginia and at Washington & Lee. Graduated in 1872 from Belleview Medical College in New York. Returned to Waco and practiced medicine.

Thu., July 8 (4-4): Funeral for Dr. Joe S. Willis today at his late residence on South 4th. Rev. Horace Bishop of the M. E. Church officiated. Waco Lodge 92, A. F. & A. M., was called to attend; also the Sir Knights of the Waco Com­mandery.

Fri., Oct. 22 (1-6): Mrs. Hattie M. (nee Clisbee) Brown, wife of Cashier Geo. W. Brown, of the Wells Fargo office, died suddenly yesterday. Married about a year ago in August 1885. A sister of Mrs. A. O. Dewey of Waco. Was born in Collin Co., Texas, and was not quite 21. To be buried in Rowlett Creek churchyard, Collin county.

Sat., Oct. 23 (3-2): The remains of the late Mrs. Hattie M. Brown were removed to the residence of A. O. Dewey, her brother-in-law, on North 8th street, for funeral services, with Rev. Horace Bishop officiating. The remains were then sent to Collin county.

Wed., Oct. 27 (4-2): Mrs. Hattie M. Brown was buried at Rowlett Creek churchyard near Allen Station, Collin Co., Texas, Sunday.

Fri., Nov. 12 (1-5): Johnny O'Brien, an Irishman, supposedly burned to death today in a fire at Carbonero's restaurant.

Sat., Nov. 13 (4-2): The remains of John O'Brien were found yesterday in the ruins of the fire at French Tony's restaurant. A railroad hand. No relatives known. Was buried at First Street cemetery.

Mon., Nov. 15 (1-4): John McLennan, son of Neil McLennan, died today at the residence of his son-in-law, Judge Ford, in Cameron, aged 72. Came to this sec­tion in 1839. In 1849 he helped Major Geo. B. Erath survey the town of Waco. Leaves a son, William McLennan, and two sisters, Mrs. Lee R. Davis and Mrs. Eli Jones; and 2 married daughters; also a brother, Neil McLennan living west of Waco.

Tue., Nov. 16 (1-5): More about John McLennan. Of Scotch stock who settled in North Carolina. Neil McLennan removed to Florida in 1820 and stayed there until 1835. Came to Texas by Batteau to the mouth of the Brazos liver. Lived in South Texas until 1839, when they came to this section. John was only 24 when they settled here. The first Waco town lot sold for $5.

Mon., May 31 (4-1): Mrs. Elizabeth Hill, age 68, died on the 30th at the res­idence of E. N. Lynham on Columbus street. Was the mother of Mrs. E. N. Lynham. Resident of Waco about 12 years. Remains to Dallas for burial.

Tue., June 8 (4-3): Mr. David Sullivan, age 35, died in Waco yesterday of enteritis. Steiner & Stephenson in charge. Funeral today, attended by the Knights of Honor.

Fri., June 18 (4-1): Louie, infant son of C. S. and Mrs. L. Pace, died today, age 5 weeks and 5 days. Their first-born child. Burial today at Oakwood.

Tue., June 29 (3-2): J. B. Sharpe, age 22 or 23, died in his room on North 6th street yesterday. The remains were sent to Spring Hill in Navarro county where there are relatives.

Wed., June 30 (1-4): Eph Ward died yesterday near Lorena, age about 20. He leaves an aged mother. Funeral today. He was caught in the gears of a traction engine.

Tue., July 6 (2-2): The wife of Joseph McIntyre of Ross died yesterday. They were married two weeks. Malaria.

Fri., July 16 (4-1): Death of F. Van Duzer, age 38. Resident of Waco about 3 years. Dealt in musical merchandise, and was a musician. Leaves a wife.

Tue., July 20 (3-2): Funeral for Ed Hunter, by Dr. J. M. Halsell yesterday. The remains were sent to Norwich, Conn, accompanied by wife and mother.

Wed., July 21 (4-2): Postmaster G. B. Gerald was Capt. of Co. F, 18 Miss. Volunteers, 25 years ago in 1st Battle of Manassas, at age 24.

Fri., July 23 (4-3): Alfred Ely, a black banjo-picker, was run over by Engine No. 90. He was drunk. The injuries are probably fatal.

Sat., July 24 (4-4): B. F. Holloway died yesterday at the residence of J. N. Harris on South 3rd. Funeral today.

Mon., Aug. 9 (4-4): A nephew age 4 of Robert Vaughn, living 5 miles from town on the Springfield road, was killed yesterday by overturning a horse trough on himself. His neck was broken.

Tue., Aug. 10 (4-2): Capt. Tom Hill, ex-city marshall of Abilene, died Sunday last. His wife was the former Miss Mollie Houser of Waco. Was shot in the foot at Ballinger while arresting a prisoner.

Austin drowned in a flood at Indianola last week. Mrs. Crocker was a daughter of Col. J. Larmour of Austin, and cousin of W. W. Larmour of Waco. She is to be buried at Austin. The body of Mrs. Hodges and children not recovered.

Tue., Aug. 24 (4-1): George Sawyer, colored, 2nd cook at the Pacific Hotel, died yesterday at his home on North 6th of lockjaw.

Tue., Aug. 31 (4-2): Mr. Louis S. Darrow, a merchant, formerly of Waco, and a hotel proprietor in Lampasas, was wounded yesterday and died two hours later. Brother of John Darrow of Waco. Age about 48. Leaves a wife and children.

Sat., Sept. 4 (4-2): In Memoriam: Ladies Society of the Cumberland Presbyter­ian Church, for Mrs. Marietta Massey, a member. Cherish her memory.

Wed., Sept. 8 (4-2): Abe Fisher, colored, died Sunday. He dug graves in Waco for several years. Reportedly died of poison, but it was decided to proceed with the burial.

Fri., Sept. 10 (1-5): Silver wedding anniversary for Rector Francis R. Starr and Mrs. Sarah E. (nee Ward) Starr, attended by his mother, Mrs. E. A. Starr of Columbus, Georgia. They were married in Emmanuel church, Atens, Georgia, Sept. 9, 1861.

Mon., Sept. 13 (4-2): Hon. W. K. Homan of Caldwell declined the nomination by the prohibition convention for associate justice of the supreme court.

Thu., Sept. 16 (3-2): An $82 deposit by Dock Shelton, who lately suicided, for charges at Waco, was paid to R. J. Goode, Esq., attorney for Ed Shelton, a brother of deceased.

Tue., Sept. 21 (4-2): Death of Mrs. R. S. Renfro of Waco, at Terrell today. A resident of Waco for the past 12 years. Sister of J. M. Drake. Was taken to Terrell for mental treatment. Leaves two boys, ages 12 and 7.

Thu., Sept. 23 (4-2): Laura Cain, charged with killing her male infant Thurs­day of last week, was discharged for lack of evidence.

Fri., Sept. 24 (1-5): Death of Peter McClelland today. To be buried at Oakwood cemetery. Born at Abingdon, Virginia, Aug. 15, 1809. His father was also named Peter; a Scotchman. His mother, Frances McDonald, was also of Scotch descent. At age 23 he went to Paris, Illinois, and worked for 15 years as a wheelwright. In 1847, to Iowa for 5 years in the mercantile business. In 1853, to Waco. Was in the grocery business first. Afterward in livestock trading; then building contracts. Was a partner in the brick business with Thos. H. Killingsworth. In 1873 was appointed Sheriff of McLennan County. In 1876 he became president of the State Central Bank. Had half interest in the McClell­and Hotel. Married twice. Had one child, Peter, by the first marriage, now aged 35. His second wife survives him.

Sat., Sept. 25 (4-2): Miss Nellie Rowan died yesterday. Was buried today at Oakwood cemetery. Funeral from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rowan on South 3rd.

Tue., Sept. 28 (4-2): The will of the late Peter McClelland came up for probate. The will did not give his son Peter full control of his part of the estate, and the son said that he would contest the will.

Sat., Jan. 1 (4-4): In Memoriam: Miss Susan Ann Coates, daughter of George and Catherine Coates, was born in McLennan county Jan. 14, 1867. Her mother died when she was aged 3 years and 6 days. Lived with her father in Waco, and with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Coates, of Tennessee. Educated at Waco Female College. Died at her home in Waco. By Horace Bishop, Pastor.

Thu., Jan. 6 (1-5): Dr. R. W. Leach died at Terrell branch of the state luna­tic asylum yesterday. Was known in Waco. Dr, Leach was convicted of killing Deputy Sheriff Martin at De Leon. Found to have been insane at the time. He leaves a wife and 3 children. The remains will be brought to Waco for burial.

Fri., Jan. 7 (1-4): The remains of Dr. R. W. Leach were buried today, with Mr. J. D. Shaw officiating. I. P. Martin conveyed the remains to First Street Ceme­tery. Wife and 3 little children survive.

Sat., Jan. 8 (4-3): Mr. Wilson Bird died at the residence of his son-in-law, Adolpheus Beatty, 7 miles from Waco, yesterday. Burial at White Rock cemetery today. Came to McLennan county in 1852. Was age 84.

Mon., Jan. 10 (1-4): John Thompson died Saturday, age 68. Lived at San Francisco, Calif., for many years. Lately of Waco. Leaves a wife, 1 daughter and 2 sons, E. W. and Samuel R. Thompson, prominent business men. Funeral today, Rev. Francis R. Starr officiating. Burial at Oakwood.

Mon., Jan. 17 (3-2): W. E. Tracy, an old Waco citizen, died at his home on S. 10th and was buried yesterday. Was a contractor for building bridges across Waco creek.

Tue., Jan. 18 (1-6): Mrs. Susannah Hinchman, relict of Col. Hiram H. Hinchman, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. H. F. Blanchard, on North 7th, yesterday. Her son, Major A. Hinchman, and Mrs. Blanchard were present. Another son, Col. Lewis A. Hinchman, is in California, and another daughter, Mrs. Mary F. Burke, resides in Michigan. She would have been 79 today. Born Logan Co., Virginia, 1808. The remains were sent to Berrien Center, Michigan, to be interred beside her husband.

Mon., Jan. 24 (4-2): City Engineer James N. Inman died suddenly Saturday night of paralysis of the heart, at Behren's Drug Store. Came to Waco last summer. Drank excessively. Had a sister, Mrs. W. D. Neff, at Jackson, Tenn. The remains were sent there.

Tue., Jan. 25 (1-5): Funeral yesterday for James N. Inman, with Rev. Dr. S. A. King officiating.

Mon., Feb. 7 (1-6): John R. Cox, formerly of Waco, died in Brownwood Saturday. The remains were shipped to Waco, to the residence of Col. William Flournoy on South 5th. Funeral there, with Rev. Horace Bishop officiating. Burial at Oakwood. Leaves a wife and daughter.

Mon., Feb. 7 (4-2): William Harvey, known as "Pat," a former Waco baseball player, died suddenly at the Parnell saloon Saturday. Funeral yesterday, attend­ed by the Knights of Labor.

Wed., Feb. 9 (3-2): Jim Courtright was killed by Luke Short at Fort Worth re­cently. Was known in Waco.

Sat., Feb. 12 (4-2): Mrs. Julia P. Winslett, wife of Joseph B. Winslett, died at the family residence on North 6th today. Was an invalid. Leaves a husband and a daughter. Funeral tomorrow, Rev. Horace Bishop officiating; burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mon., Feb. 14 (1-5): Alex Smith, shot by Officers Dan Ford and Sam Whaley, while resisting arrest, is in poor condition at the city jail.

Tue., Feb. 15 (1-5): Dr. W. H. Thompson was shot yesterday near Axtell, while attending a horse race. Came to Waco from Georgia in 1885. A physician and surgeon. Practiced at Axtell. Gun accident.

Tue., Feb. 15 (4-1): Tom, a horse owned by Z. F. Beasley, died recently.

Wed., Feb. 16 (1-5): The remains of Dr. W. H. Thompson are to be sent to his uncle, Geo. K. Leeper, at Gainesville, Georgia. Investigation indicates that he was killed by Luther Pipkins in a scuffle. There are warrants fpr the ar­rest of Buck and Luther Pipper. Buck is the father.

Thu., Feb. 17 (1-5): An inquest found that Dr. W. H. Thompson was killed by Luther Pepper, assisted by Buck. Pepper.

Mon., Feb. 21 (4-1): Mr. A. M. Perry died Saturday, age 58. Funeral yesterday from the residence of Mr. U. S. Berry, the son-in-law. Rev. Horace Bishop of­ficiated, attended by 52 members of the Workman's Mutual Aid. Burial at First Street cemetery. Leaves two grown daughters.

Sat., Feb. 26 (3-3): Charles L. Black suicided at Houston Thursday. Formerly of Waco. Brother of Thomas Black of Waco. The burial to be at Navasota.

Sat., Mar. 5 (3-2): Alex Smith is recovering.

Wed., Mar. 9 (1-5): Golden wedding anniversary today for Thos. Moore and Miss Eliza Dodd. Married near Glasgow, Kentucky, aged 22 and 18. Lived in Kentucky until 1845. Dr. Moore practiced medicine. In 1845, to Limestone Co., Alabama. In 1853, to Texas near Marble Falls. In 1867, to Waco. Had 10 children; 2 now deceased. The sons are: John, James I., Luke, Bart, and Tom P. The daughters are: Mrs. J. C. Frazier, Mrs. T. D. Hayes, and Miss Jennie Moore. Dr. Moore will be 72 next August and in September his wife will be 69.

Thu., Mar. 10 (4-2): In Memoriam: Mrs. Susan Warner was born March 17, 1820, Prince William Co., Virginia. To Platte county, Missouri, in 1842, and to Waco in 1858, with Dr. Ewell, her former owner. Died March 7, 1887, aged 66-11-20. Member of New Hop Baptist Church. Leaves 4 children.

Mon., Mar. 14 (4-3): In Memoriam: Edmonds Lindsey, only child of Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Lindsey, died Saturday of malaria. Funeral yesterday from family residence on Columbus, Dr. S. A. King officiating. Burial at Oakwood cemetery. Born at Opelika, Alabama, Jan. 20, 1879.

Sat., Mar. 19 (4-3): M. C. Cross, aged about 21, of Calvert, died last night at the residence of Mrs. Hadley on South 5th, of measles. Was a student at Hill's Business College. The remains were shipped to Calvert.

Tue., Mar. 22 (3-3) Needham Bryant died March 20 at the residence of W. G. Evans near Robinson, aged 12. Buried at Robinson cemetery today. Son of the Mr. Bryant who died a few years ago and left several orphans. Evans adopted Needham.

Tue., Mar. 29 (2-2): Mrs. Laura Wood, wife of L. T. Wood, died yesterday at the family residence on North 6th. Was a sister-in-law of Mrs. A. Powers. Aged about 30, and mother of 2 children. The remains were shipped to Mexia where she was raised.

Tue., Mar.29 (3-3): A monument to Helen Lacy, by her husband W. D. Lacy, was placed in Oakwood cemetery. It was carved in Italy.

Tue., Apr. 5 (8-4): James Doyle died yesterday at the Lehmann hotel. Funeral today. A resident of Waco in 1878. He then moved to Paris, Texas, for 7 years. Recently he returned to Waco. Member of the Paris lodge A.F. & A.M. The firemen also attended the funeral.

Thu., Apr. 7 (6-3): Tom Malone died yesterday at the residence of his father, W. J. Malone, 10 miles east of Waco. Was once a member of Waco Lodge 70 I.O.O.F. Burial today at Odd Fellows cemetery.

Mon., Apr. 18 (8-1): The wife of U. S. Marshal W. L. Cabell died Saturday at Fort Smith, Ark. She was known in Waco. Born at Fort Smith, June 3, 1836, a daughter of Major and Mrs. Elias Rector of Virginia. Married Gen. Cabell in 1855.

Tue., Apr. 19 (4-1): The Waco Furniture Co. offers coffins for sale:$2.50 for pine, $150 for metallic case.

Fri., Apr. 22 (4-1): Bessie Brooks, infant daughter of R. J. and Mrs. Minnie Brooks, died yesterday at the residence of Col. E. J. Gurley. Burial at Oakwood today, Rev. Francis L. Starr officiating.

Wed., Apr. 27 (7-2): Tribute to A. W. Eubank by his brother, J. L. Eubank. Andrew W. Eubank was the third son of T. A. and Eliza J. Eubank, and was born in Barron County, Kentucky.

Sat., Apr. 30 (4-1): The body of a colored boy was found at Waco Oil Mills today. Could not be identified. Age about 16. It was buried.

Wed., May 4 (8-2): The body of Wallace Robertson, colored, was found on the railroad tracks two miles from Waco today. To be buried by relatives.

Thu., May 5 (4-2): Joe Williams, who killed Frank Blocker at Abbott, died yes­terday near Palestine when he was shot by a deputy.

Sat., May 7 (8-1): The father of Rev. C. K. Millican, Jr., pastor of Fifth St. Methodist Church, died in Georgia a few days ago.

Wed., May 11 (8-2): Mrs. Sue B. Slayden, wife of S. W. Slayden, died today at her residence at 15th & Columbus, of consumption. She was born in Illinois, April 1850; was age 37. Married June 19, 1872, to S. W. Slayden. Also leaves one boy child. To be sent to Champaign, Illinois, for burial. Funeral from the residence tomorrow, with Dr. B. H. Carroll.

Wed., May 18 (1-5): Reuben Clark, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Clark, drowned today at Wheeler's tank out on Dutton street extension.

Thurs, May 19 (8-1): Col. J. W. Paramore reportedly died in St. Louis Tuesday night of pneumonia.

Thu., June 23 (5-1): Lillian Mae Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Turner, was born near Barnesville, Georgia, March 1, 1886. Married Nov. 1886 in Waco to C. R. Searcy of Bolingbroke, Georgia. Died June 22, 1887 at Bolingbroke. Her mother resides in Waco.

Sat., June 25 (8-1): Henry S. Cargile died at Henderson, Kentucky, on the 19th. Formerly of Waco. Leaves a wife and 2 children. Burial at Uniontown, Ky.

Mon., June 27 (8-3): Ruble Stone, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Stone, died today at age 9 months. Funeral today from the famil resudence. Burial at Oakwood.

Tue., June 28 (3-2): John Schiecher, a German employed at Roller's ice fac­tory, died yesterday. Leave a wife and 6 children.

Mon., July 11 (3-2): J. J. McKay was found dead in a well Sunday.

Mon., July 11 (3-3): Mrs. Kennedy, sister of Mrs. Richey and Mrs. Henshaw, died Saturday at Cornersville, Tenn. She visited Waco about 3 years ago.

Mon., July 11 (8-2): The body of J. J. McKay, found Sunday in a well near the plaza. He is said to have been a blacksmith, born on Prince Edward Isle, and was about 45 years old; married; no children. Apparently was drunk and fell backwards into the well in the back yard of the Hutchins building.

Mon., July 11 (8-2): Frank N. Mitchell died today. Leaves a wife and 4 small children. He was connected with the firm of Lessing, Solomon & Rosenthal, as a salesman and legal advisor. Funeral at the family residence on Barnard, and burial at Oakwood, attended by the Knights and Legion of Honor, and members of the Ancient Order of United Workmen.
