W.F. BLANTON FAMILY CELEBRATES WEDDING DATES
   A family get-together Sunday marked two important dates in the family of
Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Blanton, 310 W. Middleton.
   The group celebrated the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Blanton
and the 35th wedding anniversary of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. O.L. Blanton of Fort Worth.
   Nineteen members of the family gathered at Grayson Hotel for lunch Sunday
when Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Blanton were hosts and other members called at the
family home during the afternoon.
   MARRIED IN ECTOR
   Mrs. W.F. Blanton is the former Miss Jenny Wrenn, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wrenn of Savoy.  Mr. Blanton, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas J. Blanton was born in Fannin County, near Whitewright.
   the couple was married in Ector.  They have lived in Sherman since 1918.
Mr. Blanton was a cotton buyer for years and in later years was manager of
Kay Kimbell farms.
   Mrs. Blanton is active in work of First Methodist Church, where both are
members.
   HAVE FOUR CHILDREN
   Mr. and Mrs. Blanton are parents of four children:  O.L. Blanton of Fort
Worth and Mrs. W.W. Lay, Miss Nadine Blanton and Tom Blanton, all of
Sherman.  There are two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
   O.L. Blanton and Miss Elizabeth Steele were married in the home of the
bride in Sherman in 1921.  They are parents of one daughter, Mrs. Charles
Crabtree of Fort Worth.
   Relatives attending the party Sunday included Mrs. W.F. Blanton's
brother, J.P. Wrenn of Savoy, who attended the wedding 60-years ago.  A
great granddaughter, Susan Crabtree of Fort Worth was also a guest.
