Bennett, Annie Maye Feagans
1938-2000
   Service for Annie F. Bennett, 62, of Marietta, Ga., was Monday, Sept. 25,
at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powder Springs. Bishop
Ron Cheney officiated. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Cemetery in Marietta,
Ga.
   Bennett died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in Marietta.
   Born in 1938 in Decatur, she had been a resident of Marietta since 1963.
She was a foster parent for the Latter Day Saints social services
organization. She was a consultant at the genealogical library at the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powder Springs.
   She is survived by her husband, Sanford Bennett of Marietta; three
daughters, Lisa Ann Bennett and Melissa Janet Bennett of Marietta and Tauna
B. Tucker of Ellijay, Ga.; a son, Nathan A. Bennett of Marietta; four
sisters, Faye Locklear of Fort Worth, Dixie Elliott of Goree and Tommie Sue
Feagans of Decatur, Ann Auburg of Midland; a brother, Robert Hammock of
Texas and one grandson. (research note - Annie Mae Feagans Bennett was the
daughter of Reuben Preston Feagans and Addie Agnes Morris; she was the
granddaughter of Preston Lane Feagans and Laura Emily Binion; she was the
great-granddaughter of Daniel Feagans and Mary Ann Blanton; and she was the
g-g-granddaughter of pioneers Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah McDaniel
and of Jackson Feagans and Annie Liles aka Annie Lyles.)

Francis Marshall - Savoy - Francis R. Marshall, 88-year-old retired farmer
and textile worker of Savoy, died Sunday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.
   Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel
with Jay Loyd officiating.  Burial will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park in
McKinney.
   Mr. Marshall was born in Milburn, Okla., the son of John Calvin Marshall
and Lou Edna Blanton Marshall on Sept. 7, 1924, he married Ruby Hamilton in
Tishomingo, Okla.
   He was a textile worker and retired after 17 years of service.  He had
lived in Savoy 14 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.
   Surviving are his wife; sons, Bill Marshall of Princeton and Jack
Marshall of Savoy; daughters, Brenda Gaddy and Lou Edna Wiley, both of
Savoy, Lenora McCord of Melissa, Barbara Craker of Mabank and Sharon Dagley
of Terrell; brother, Stephen Marshall of Nicoma Park, Okla; sisters, Mary
Morrow and Dorothy Overturf, both of Tishomingo, Okla., Duprie Jenson of
Florida and Lena Szenasi of Reno, Nevada; 17 grandchildren, 23
great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
   Pallbearers will be Royce Evans, Tommy Wiley, Charlie Marshall, Wayne
Evans, David Gaddy, Brian Gaddy and Clint Dagley.  (research note - Francis
R. Marshall was the grandson of Elijah Sweezey Blanton and Margaret Louise
Godwin and he was the great-grandson of pioneers Stephen Fletcher Blanton
and Sarah McDaniel.)
