Tuesday Services Set for Mrs.Black,68
Mrs. Belle Black, mother of Dr. Davis F.Black, died
July 14, 1974 in Stillwater Municipal Hospital. She was a resident
of 915 W. 4th. A local funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday
in the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joe Stumbaugh will officiate.
Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Sherman,
Texas., after a service at Dannel Funeral Chapel, Sherman,3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The daughter of Willis F. and Ida Watts, she was born
in Anson, Texas Dec. 6, 1905. She was married to Walter V. Black,
Dec. 9, 1922 at Greenwood, Texas.
She was a member of Stillwater Chapter 54, Order of
Eastern Star and had lived in Stillwater since 1962. She was a former
resident of Greenville and Newsom[e], Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Black, 135 Orchard
Lane, two grandchildren, three brothers Aaron Watts, Dallas, Texas, Joe
Watts, DeSoto, Texas and Jack Watts, Ft. Worth, Texas, four sisters Mrs.
Grace Shaw, Campti, La., Mrs. Ruth Skinner, Winnsboro, Texas and Linda
and Sue Watts both of Arlington, Texas.
Active pall bearers in the Stillwater service will
be Max Koener, Bryon Daniels, Paul Marshall, Joe Wyatt, Dr. Hugh McClure
and Charles Rushmore. Honorary bearers locally will be Dr. Merle
Wedel, Dr. Gary Meyer, Dr. James Locklar, Cushing, Dr. Sid Williams, Dr.
Dan Wagner and Dr. Tim Smalley

Franklin Co., Texas)
