Robert Daniel Civil war era papers He died in
1884 and in buried in the Brogdon
Cemetary , NW of Pottsboro, very Near famous Spout Springs where the
outlaws liked to cross the river and hide out at the Springs and hill above
it (it as a good lookout). Here is a picture of his grave stone,
but it is a little hard to read because it's so dark in there, the trees
have overgrown the cemetary.
His Amnesty papers which forgave him for serving in the Confederate
army where he pledged allegience to the union. He joined in
Missouri. He lived here NW of Pottsboro, he grew peaches commercially
amoung other things, he owned a lot of land here.

Abbie Lea Myers, born 06 Mar 1894 in Red Oak, Ellis, Texas, USA;
died 26 Dec 1980 in Vernon,Wilbarger, Texas.
She was the daughter of William
Henderson Myers and Sarah Jane Hash. Abbie and Herbert moved to Vernon,
TX from Grayson County Tx 1919.
