L-R:
By the Carriage--David Jackson Coleman's oldest son,
Alva b. 1888 in Louisianna
Elisha Lawrence Coleman, David's brother who was born
August 1872 in Randolph Co. GA.
He married Elizabeth Harris Stubbs December 17, 1899
in Sadler, Grayson Co. TX.
Elizabeth was a school teacher. The couple lived
in Sadler for a while then moved to Greer Co. OK
By the Covered Wagon
David Jackson Coleman b. May 1863 in Randolph Co.
GA and his wife Florence Edith Bigby Coleman
b. February 1869 in Arkansas
I think that David is holding Oliver Elisha who was
born in Howe, Grayson Co. TX in April 1897
and the child that is twirling is Willie b. 1893 in
Texas. Other people in photo are not known.
I guess that the picture was taken in late fall of
1898 or 1899. I am assuming that it is a departure picture as
David Jackson and his family were leaving Grayson
County for Webster Parish LA.
The family were in Louisianna by December 1899 as
their next child was born there on that date.
I know that David and his family were living in Webster
Parish in 1930 but do not know where they
are buried nor have contact with any decendents.
David Jackson and Elisha Lawrence Coleman were the
sons of Elisha and Virginia Carolina Smith Coleman
and grandsons of Isaac Coleman of Randolph Co. GA.
If this house or the other people in the photo are
recognized by anyone -please let me know.
