Many Cemeteries were moved or
dissappeared under the lake , when the Denison Dam was built. The Army
Corps of Engineers reported 49 cemeteries moved- 3000 graves. Many people
remembered seeing cemeteries still left behind at the time of the lake
filling up. The Corp only removed cemeteries that people still had an interest
in.
