John Fox came to Grayson Co. in abt. 1976 from Iowa.
He bought 1000 acres with his Son Michael. This land is where the
cemetery is located. It has been divided up several times.
My brother inherited this part and sold it to my daughter, she then sold
it my grandson Kyle McGill. The land has been in the family over
100 years.
In Vol. O Page 103 of the Grayson Co. Court records
I found where the courts permited the Estate of John Fox, to purchase the
Tombstone and Wrought Fence from Spencer Monument Co. in Louisvill, Kentucky.
It was shipped by rail and cost $160.00. It was ordered October 10,
1885. It is the one pictured.
According to old timers around here there are 12 or
15 people buried there.
