son of W.J. & M.H. Brown Died Sep. 6,1872 aged 12 years 11 months ..days A look at the 1870 Texas Census yields this: Page 89 Precinct No. 1, Grayson County, Texas 10th Aug. 1870 Post Office - Sherman |
The grave is -"off of old 75, now 91, just north of the Kwikset plant. As you pass the plant, there's a new road on the right leading back to a new mfg plant. After you pass that road, still heading north, there's a gravel road off to the right with a stop sign. It's marked as a private drive, but we've never had a problem going down it - it used to be the only access to the field. As you drive down the road, the right-hand side is open. As soon as you come to a fence row on the right, park and walk into the field and follow the fence row. The grave will be next to just a few yards down. It's enclosed by a badly bent wrought-iron enclosure.I'd really like to know more about the little boy's story - he died only a month or two before Denison was born."
