WOMEN IN SERVICE

   Cpl. Catherine Rowland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rowland, 401 West Morton, has been assigned to the WAC recruiting office in Greenville, N.C.
Cpl. Rowland came to the recruiting service from the Redistribution Center, Ashville, N.C. where she was assigned as a Motor Corps Driver.  She attended North Texas State Teachers College, Denton, before entering the service and received her basic and specialist training at the First WAC Training Center, Des Moines, Iowa.  Her brother, Pfc. Harold Rowland is now somewhere in the
South Pacific
   (Research Note: Catherine Rowland married Leslie Howard Feagan on August 22, 1946 in Sherman, Grayson Co., TX. Howard was the grandson of Daniel Feagans and Mary Ann Blanton.  His
great-grandparents were Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah McDaniel of Fannin Co., TX.)

CATHERINE FEAGAN
   TOM BEAN - Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 at Earnheart Chapel in Tom Bean for Catherine Feagan, 83, who died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 in Sherman.  The Rev. John Hall will officiate, followed by burial at Holloway Cemetery in Grayson County.
   Mrs. Feagan was born on Nov. 30, 1921, in Sherman, daughter of Coleman Rowland and Cecil Lewis Rowland.  She was a 1939 graduate of Denison High School.  She married Howard Feagan on Aug. 22, 1945, in Sherman.
  She retired from the Business Office at Texoma Medical Center after 17 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tom Bean. 
   Pallbearers will be Ronnie Pennell, Bill Feagan, Albert Ellis, David Ellis, Scott Cox and Larry Jones.
   Survivors are her daughters, Lisa Hollensed and husband Steve of Tom Bean and Rebecca Robertson and husband, Butch of Luella; granddaughters, Leigh Ann Hollensed, Lana McKram and husband, Stan, Terri foster and Traci Robertson; great-granddaughter, Laney Foster; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Feagan and Ann Rowland; and four nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman and Cecil Rowland;husband, Howard Feagan; sister, Dorothy; and brother Harold Rowland.
