          The Carney family which came to Grayson in 1917 from Carroll County, Arkansas.

William and Laura had 13 children.  Two children, a boy and a girl,  died young and were buried in Arkansas. 

Of the living 11 living children 8 were boys.  When the time came to move to Texas all the family, except for two married girls, made the trip.  The married boys along with wives and some in laws made the trip to North Texas.
