MRS. OPAL AYERS
Services for Mrs. Opal Irene Ayers of 1516 S. Crockett St. 76-year-old
retired Burling Industries employee who died Monday at a Sherman hospital,
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waldo Funeral Chapel.
Joe Ed Furr of Travis St. Church of Christ will officiate and burial will
be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Ayers was born in Lone Oak, a daughter of William Harvey and Myra
Hart Keller, and married Douglas M. Ayers on Aug. 21, 1948, in Denison.
She was employed by Burlington Industries for 30 years and was an
inspector at the time of her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the
SNAP program and Travis St. Church of Christ.
Surviving are her stepdaughter, Carleene Gay of Sherman; brother, E.S.
Keller of Tom Bean; sisters, Jewel Judkins of Pampa and Pat Turley of
Garland; half brothers, Robert Keller and Billy Keller, both of Houston;
half Sister, Alyne Waits of Elmwood, N.M.; and six step grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and
other times at the E.S. Keller residence in Tom Bean.
