The Archivo de la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is
located in the administrative offices underneath the Cathedral on
the west side of the Plaza de Armas in downtown Ciudad Juárez.

The main foci are the Libro Bautismos (Book of Baptisms), Libro
Confirmaciones (Book of Confirmations), Libro de Defunciones
(Book of Deaths) and a collection known as Oficios Varios (various
documents) that cover the period from about 1750 to the present.

The Historic Archive of Ciudad Juarez (AHCJ)
houses over 5,600 books that contain the minutes of the Juarez City
Council meetings from 1726 to 1970 as well as other documents

The Centro del Imagen: Camino
Real contains about 1,100 digitized photos and negatives of Ciudad
Juárez and the border region (Fondo Sepulveda: 1,000); Chihuahua
between 1920 and 1925 (Fondo Flores: 50), and the Aduana
th (customs house) itself at the beginning of the 20 century (Fondo
Bauche: 50). This collection is available for consultation only.

ICSA is located just south of the Bridge of the Americas and to the
east of the Megabandera (The Giant Flag). There are ten
collections (fondos), four of which are thematic and seven based
on private libraries that the university inherited: Fondo
Universitario; Fondo Juridico; Fondo Chihuahua; and Fondo
Antiguo y Raro fall into the first category, while Fondo Fuentes
Mares; Fondo R. Melgar; Fondo J. L. Orozco; Fondo Ruben Lau,
Fondo Enrique Semo, and Fondo Guillermo Rousset were donated
by their namesakes or their relatives. The range of material is
extensive and includes manuscripts of Fuentes Mares and Enrique
Semo, and books, pamphlets and documents important to the
